This demo had nothing to do with the GTX 580 as Tom clearly kept saying future technology on an "Unnamed Card". The GTX 580 uses current GF100 Fermi technology and is a re-engineered version of current Fermi cards and Tech that I hope they figured how to cool better and maybe cut back on it being such a Watt Goblin. Seriously GSC is a great developer and the X-Ray engine produced some of the best graphics, sound, and atmosphere ever in a an OPEN world FPS game. glad they have updated the X-Ray engine cause the old one only ran on a single core and bottlenecked the GPU thus requiring you to have a high/mid range system to see all the eye candy.

If your game is Excellent like World of Warcraft, Aion, EVE, Planet Calypso, etc. then you can charge a monthly subscription and have micro-transactions all the while keeping gamers happy and making a ton of money.
But if your game is half ass and lacks innovation then you better have a Fee Free environment and hope gamers play long enough to maybe complete one micro-transaction before uninstalling your crap game.

I was so amped up for Tribes Universe when I heard the announcement but now I'm not so excited anymore as it seems Hi Rez is just gonna use the lame Unreal Engine and slap Tribes Universe on top of their failed Global Agenda MMO/FPS.
Developers do realize that you can use the Cryengine 2. You don't have to continue using the lame Unreal Engine.

I'm not too sure about this article as I have been on many threads on PC gaming sites where I say about 90% of the gamers are salivating at the mouth for Star Wars The Old Republic myself included cause it is such a complete opposite from World Of Warcraft.
Bioware's track record shows that they can produce a great game and the resources put into this should make gamers happy and if not I'm sure they will fix it.
