The biggest mistake is that they not only alienated the PS4 fanbase, they also alienated PC's. So basically they just killed 2/3 of their potential sales.
This is the only thing i LOVE about Xbox One. The updates have been amazing!
Sony must step up their game in this regard.
This is Crystal Dynamics right now with all the backlash from PS fans:
"Where's the logic in that? "
First, it's Square Enix, what else can you expect?
Second, MONEY!
EDIT: Oh Boy, I can't wait until they F**k up Final Fantasy XV and/or Kingdom Hearts 3. This won't be good.
Like they are going to say: Don't worry, it will be announced for PS4 eventually, so just wait for it.
Of course they are going to say it's exclusive as it's been just announced as exclusive. Also, if it's indeed exclusive, when they see the sales, they will bring it to PS4 immediately.
Microsoft might have a huge grin on their faces with this announcement. It is a big deal, however, Square Enix will be banging their heads against the wall when they see their sales report.
The game will definitely be timed exclusive, but by the time it releases, PS4 will have other games and people might move on. Who knows.
It was an amazing decision for Microsoft, although we'll see if it will be successful enough, because they might had paid A LOT of ...
1) It's definitely going to be timed exclusive
2) Square Enix was crying that they didn't sell millions of copies of Tomb Raider, but then they make the sequel exclusive to the console that is selling less? Definitely SE is beyond repair.
I am definitely not a fan of indies. Most of them look like they can be played on my old SNES.
I don't get why people like these games other than on their phones and PCs.
TGS: Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts 3, The Last Guardian......
I guess a lot. The same discussion happened when the PS3 and 360 were announced. A lot of people still had their old TVs, and that's why they didn't come with an HDMI (the 360 did later).
4K TVs are already getting cheaper. In 5 years, it's going to be like buying a 1080p TV these days.
I am not a tech savvy, but I prefer polygon count, textures and those things that can make a game look better and bigger. What does the resolution affect all that?
What's the difference between having a 100K polygon character in 1080p or at 4K?
What would yo prefer: a game where every character has 500K polygons at 1080p or a game where the characters have 100K but at 4K resolution?
Is it better to have a game with graphics like The Legen...
I hate that too! They save manufacturing costs, shipping cost and more, and they sell them at the same price as retail. Also, retail games can be discounted very fast and hit the bargain bin, while digital keep the same price for a long time (or always).
Naughty Dog explained that they do NOT have 2 teams. They are one big team working at different task at different times.
Also, Naughty Dog normally ends their franchises each generation. I think the reason they are making an Uncharted 4, is because they wanted to have a game for PS4, and Uncharted 3 wasn't received very well STORY-wise.
LBP 3

The Order 1886

So at least we know that they will show half of the conference (or 2/3). What's going to be on the rest of it?
It's unlikely that Uncharted will be shown at Gamescom, but there is a chance that it will be shown at the VGAs this year (if there is one). Naughty Dog has revealed a lot of their games there, so it could happen.
I don't think anything Gran Truismo will be there. Why would Sony "canibalize" Drive Club? They are different games, but I think they will want to focus on Drive Club 100%.
You are right about Sony holding back announcements to sho...
It's more like executable than playable.
I hope this game is faster paced and has more action.
"I personally think that this generation started a year too soon" It didn't.
If the PS4 and Xbox One had been released this fall, it would have been the same scenario. The reason the games take a while is because they plan them according to the launch. So most likely you would still have to wait a year for the flow of games to begin.
However, it's actually good that the PS4 released last year, since we are just 6 months from having great ga...
It's fair to say that they could begin R&D for PS5 as early as next year. The PS4 R&D started late 2007.
"It's the MAJORITY of their fanbase complaining"
EXACTLY!! WELL SAID
