Way too early to talk about next generation. The second wave of PS4 games is not even out yet.
With that said, I would like to not be called PS5, only because the S and 5 would look weird in the logo.
It's confusing that they announce Far Cry's Key to Kyrat and explain how it works, but then 20 min later they announce Share Play which in theory, completely nullifies it. My guess is that maybe the only way to play co-op in Far Cry is via Keys to Kyrat?
I just hope that Share Play doesn't have a time limit like Far Cry, because it will be a waste of feature.
Other dimension...
Of course they are going to focus on PS4 when they are having a success not seen since the PS2. For them is a priority and very well understood. The games of Vita should come when they settle with PS4 games development and reduce support on PS3, so the best times for Vita are still to come.
I could make a bet that there will not be a third handheld for Sony. There was a rumor that the next Nintendo console would merge the console and the handheld together. If Sony doesn'...
Very original way to announce a game.
a remaster was done for PS3. A remake on the other hand! Just to think about the Colossi with more polygons and better textures. WOW!
that title goes for Final Fantasy XV definitely.
@absdiine
Kingdom Hearts 3 was just announced last year. It just started development last year too.
It took a lot of years to be announced, but that doesn't mean that it existed before last year.
I agree.
When Microsoft was making the deal, they might have thought that everyone would buy an Xbox One to play it. They might have overestimated the game's value, because while the reboot is great, it might not be a system seller at all, and combine that with the poor reception that the announcement received.
We will just have to wait and see how successful the game really is. How will the install base of the Xbox One be by the time the game releases an...
I'm going to be virtually beaten to death here, but I agree with the article 100%. NOT with the title though, that's pure click-bait.
Square Enix is definitely going to benefit from this deal financially. Microsoft might be paying a lot of money to make the game coming only to Xbox One, when there's other systems and they are selling better.
I've stated that this deal was great for Microsoft, but after reading the article, in the long run, I ...
I think it could be a spiritual successor of some sort, or maybe based on it or something.
We just saw a teaser and it looked interesting, but there's a lot more we have to see before we can judge it.
It would be awesome to have coins rewarded for achievements, however 100 would be too much for each game. Something realistically is having like a Platinum trophy, where if you get it, you get rewarded 20 coins or 50 depending on the game.
I use Club Nintendo a lot, so for me it would be a great idea, although very unlikely to happen.
It is very simple. They will look at the sales, and if they are not what they expect (3.6 million weren't enough, to have a bar) Square Enix will announce the game for PS4 and PC that same day.
However, "it could easily be Jan 1st", that's something people don't get (and I didn't initially), the game was announced exclusive for Xbox during 2015. The game releases fall/winter 2015, so for all we know it could be released on other consoles on January...
Rime
Hellblade
Wild
Those are the indie games that would definitely make me buy a PS4, but I already have one, so I am all set
He denied it, but Phil Spencer said that the deal was exclusive in 2015, after that, Square Enix could do whatever they want, since it's their IP
It was a great business deal for Microsoft, but a very stupid one for Square Enix.
For me is much better than it'll release sometime 2016 for PS4 (if it indeed does), because there are a lot of games for 2015, and I am going to need time to play all the games I buy.
Also, I would say that I'd be playing Uncharted 4 when the game releases (assuming it does in November like Uncharted 3), but I am sure I'll finish the game in 3 days like I did Unch...
Even if there were 400 games at launch, I'd probably only like like 5, and even then, I can only play one at a time, so for me there is no problem either.
I just finished Infamous Second Son and got platinum, and right now i am looking into buying Persona 4 Golden for PS Vita. After that I might buy Assassin's Creed Unity, and then The Order 1886. So I am good.
That's because they have NOTHING. All the good games are very early in development, so they need to waste time to fill the entire conference.
I really like how Phil Spencer answers the questions. The way he answered the question about Tomb Raider exclusivity is just the truth. It's business and they did what best for their brand.
You are contradicting yourself. If it's going to be the internet equivalent of having a friend come over your house, then it can't be timed. I have played full games with my friends. I finished LBP with my neighbor on his PS3, and we unlocked everything the both of us.
Also, in the PS1 era, we finished more than 50 games together in co-op and passing over the controller for single player games.
