The controller is interesting. I think it could allow for new gameplay, combining DS style and console game play. Other than that, I don't know if it can be as successful as the DS. We will have to wait until Microsoft and Sony reveal their next gen console to have and idea which console has the best potential (for games and/or sales (for people interested in sales).

It's common sense that Sony is enforcing 3D on everything it can. It's not rocket science. Even if ND wanted or not, they wouldn't have had a choice.
LOL!
It's not that 3D is a fad. It is NOT ready yet. Maybe next gen consoles would be able to handle 3D properly, but right now those are the results. Even though Uncharted 3 looks great in 3D, you can clearly see the downgrade in the graphics overall. For me, it was a disappointment because hadn't they include 3D, Uncharted would have looked much much better.
I hope that PS4 and Xbox 3 are built powerful enough to handle 3D, because otherwise, I would hate to have develop...
Why have I been hearing that this is the longest generation ever if PS3 only turned five, and the Wii too for that matter? The Xbox is six, but when the PS3 launched, the PS2 was six years old.
I don't see how it's longer.
We don't need yearly releases, but we don't need a game announced 7 years before it comes out. Publishers need to find the right balance in order to keep fans interested and most importantly make the game with the most quality possible.
I think fans would be happily willing to wait if publishers show interesting bits of the game once in a while. What SE does with their stupid closed theater is exactly the perfect example of what NOT to do, and loose fans.
Killzone 2 was EPIC in every way, maybe would have been a little bit better if they had gotten rid of Rico. Killzone 3 on the other hand, although great, it was a huge waste of potential. The ending in Killzone 2 was the perfect layout for an all-out war, it was a great opportunity to play a desperate ISA trying to escape (or a revengeful Helghan trying to assassinate what remained of the ISA). What we got instead? Another chapter of Rico annoyance and a very poor ending.

I bought Rayman instead of Assassin's Creed. It is very fun! Very well deserved the high grades. The presentation is awesome, and the hand-drawn graphics are the best they have ever done.
This is the kind of game that you want to finish 100% because of all the fun you are having with it. The controls are tight (like SMB) and the gameplay is very polished.
Excellent game! Hopefully more people buy it so developers (whether Ubisoft, or others) start makin...
I'm more interested to know about the decision process in turning Elena and Chloe into cameos instead of main characters as they should have been.
Wow. I'm actually more impressed by Halo on Xbox. It was truly ahead of its time.
I agree with everything you just said. THey should have focused A LOT more on the story. They lost consistency and it was very incoherent. For me, what makes Uncharted great is the story, not the gameplay nor the action sequences. They are awesome, but they don't work as well when there is not a good story to tell.
The focus on melee this time was not done very well. They had great ideas but weren't done right. They were very repetitive and became annoying, especially...
I think that the challenge that Sega will have is to decide which Sonic to release. They did a very good job with both Classic and Modern Sonic in Generations. I personally like Modern Sonic better, at least the levels that allow you to go fast without much platforming (e.g. Green Hill) but there are a lot of Classic Sonic stages pretty well done too.
So should they release the next game as classic Sonic or modern Sonic... or both again?
P.S. Sky Sanctuary is...
I just bought a Samsung 55" D8000 series. I really liked the 3D, but it is not quite there yet. I played the last 2 chapters of Uncharted 3 in 3D and although the effect is amazing, it looses a lot of quality. Maybe by next generation of consoles, or next generation of TV it would be as good as it should be.
I used to think it was a gimmick, but after watching some movies and playing in 3D, I wouldn't want it to be in 2D again, although they need to make it so that g...
This is going to be the biggest sleeper hit this year. It is awesome!I am definitely buying it instead of Assassin's Creed. Hopefully more people buy it, even if it is months later, because it deserves the sales.
The only thing I don't like about the Vita is the buttons. They seem too small, but that may change once I see the device in real life.
Exactly!
Obviously they say that so that people buy the regular version. Or do you expect, to have Capcom say that they will have another version before the first one releases?
My recommendation: Wait at least 6 months, if they announce another version, you win; if they don't, then the price will be reduced by then so you also win.
@MostJadedGamer: There is no way Sony will let MS launch its console first again. Either both launch in 2013, or both on 2014, but neither will let the other launch first this time.
@killerhog: I am teaching myself Japanese and I just learned about that. After having the PSP2 named Vita, it is almost certain that they will drop the numbers, especially having the number 4 the perfect "excuse". I am all for that though, it allows for more creativity and better marketi...
A playable movie though. Everyone was complaining about MSG 4 cutscenes calling it a movie. I for one, like cutscenes, but having an actual playable movie like Uncharted is great.
I love to be confused about whether it's a cutscene or actual gameplay. It happened to me a few times during Uncharted 3. I didn't realize I had to press a button because thought was the movie.
Hopefully they don't take long.
Yeah, that's a big mystery too. About him getting shot, there is no way he was wearing a vest. Naughty Dog failed to tell the story this time. If they think those mysteries were left for the next Uncharted, they did it the wrong way.
Another mystery (which is gameplay wise though) is that Drake is dying in the desert because he doesn't have water, but after arriving to the ghost town, he just forgot he was almost dying.
