I myself was wodering if this new Socom is too hardcore for many of these reviewers. The same reviewers that give games like COD 9+ scores.
I give the beta an 8.5. It was challenging though and maybe that's why a lot of nubs are hating on it. Also, we all know a lot of people are going to bash it for being different than Socom 2. I know I will play the full game for myself before I make any judgments.

I played the 3DS today for the first time. The 3D effect was really cool and SSF4 was fun. I have other things I want to spend my money on right now, but I will pick one up "like new" for around $200 in a couple months.
BTW, I didn't get a headache, but I did have to adjust my brain or something. I wouldn't play on the thing for many hours, but in small ammounts it seems pretty safe.

I love the beta. Most hardcore exclusive shooter I've played on a console and I haven't touched classic mode yet. I have heard more people using a mic and exercising teamwork than any game since counterstrike on the PC. I think it will be even better when it releases, provided they don't soften it up by lowering recoil and bullet spread. Also, the opaque voting box has to go, OBVIOUSLY. If they don't lower bullet spread or make it more Nub in any way I will definitely buy it. ...
I downloaded the demo on PSN a couple of weeks ago. Best MK in a while(perhaps ever). Although I find some aspects disappointing, the game as a whole will make a lot of people happy probably. Pretty good demo BTW. The Socom 4 demo(beta) is awesome as well. Of course I got them both early with PS+ which has paid for itself rather rapidly.
I just shut my PS3 off for a few minutes, then turned it back on and it worked fine, lol..

I too will probably own all 3 eventually. Socom 4 will be first(probably) and then time will tell which will come next. I think Portal 2(probably next) will be amazing and I can't wait to play as Kratos(in a few weeks or so). I might have to wait until MK and Portal go down in price a bit though. There are so many games coming out and I need money for other investments too. I think we all win here though.
Lets not forget about Infamous 2, etc.

Aside from a few little problems, I think Socom 4 is great. The opaque voting box is totally lame and I kind of agree that they should do something about the reticle during cover. Also, strafe speed could be a bit higher. I could move WAY faster than that sideways in real life and I'm not a Navy Seal. It may be for the best though, but should probabably be tweaked.
Most hardcore shooter I've played online this gen easily, except maybe battlefield BC2.

I buy all the good games new to support devs that make good games. Anything else would be selfish of me. The devs don't make any money when you buy a used game. You can get your games new online for the same price PawnStop charges for used games anyway. Also, if you are going to sell your games, how about selling them to a friend, or on ebay so you both can benefit.
Lol, "lower bullet spread". Maybe they should add autoaim while they're at it. No thanks, it's about time a game has somewhat realistic shooting mechanics. It can be much more fun and rewarding(as well as addictive) in the long run if you stick with it.

One of my favorite shooters so far. It's taking me a while to get used to the Move controls, although I've been able to pull off some incredible shots. They need to make that yellow "vote box" transparant though, or change it. How people could make such a fun game and put something so retarded in it really got me thinking.

Thanks for all the opinions of Yakuza 4. I was planning to get this game eventually, but I still need to beat Y3. Now I know I won't be disappointed. The gamers have spoken! Your words speak volumes and are just as valid as many reviewers these days.
Honestly, I was still kind of on the fence about it. Wondering if I should wait for it to go down in price. Now, it is more of a priority.
