Sony are not trying to compete with other "mobile devices". They just BOUGHT Ericcson and will be in both markets with their playstation suite, etc.

Cool, an article full of whining and lies. There have been and will continue to be more of these. If Sony's marketing is strong, this device will NOT fail and people will continue to laugh at silly articles like this. Neither the Vita nor the 3DS will fail. The 3DS is actually looking to outpace the monster that is the DS. Lets see if his beloved phone has the same staying power as say, the Gameboy.

It will probably very good, so possibly try marketing it correctly. That is, if we are talking about commercial success. Otherwise, stay true to the fans of the characters and leave plenty for hardcore gamers to appreciate.

There is a difference between system memory and video memory. For cards with 4GB(quite a bit) of VIDEO RAM, the cheapest price is around $700 right now on google.

the first "ipod" came out in 2001, but that is another story. Your point has some merit, but I think I disagree. If anything hurts their sales it's not their products not living up to the hype, it's Sony failing to always market them correctly and CREATE hype.
We are about to see Sony step up their marketing quite a bit and they just hired some new people to do this

Hell yeah, one of the best years and I don't really care much about what IGN has to say about it. Ni No Kuni, Starhawk, Counter Strike GO, The Last Guardian, etc. are all on their way too, so we have even more great stuff to look forward to. Not to mention Playstation Vita will be out soon and it's many games.
I totally agree with you. The affordable dev kit will ensure that the vita will have a variety of exceptional games and the cost will not scare independent Japanese devs away from working on some unique gems. We are about to enter into an era where there won't be as much stress/pressure to create top notch graphics and studios will be able to focus on creativity, innovation, etc. like never before.

I just downloaded CS after a while of not playing, but the video driver on that laptop is messed up. Bummer, I will have to redownload :D
