@Septic I feel like a deer in the headlights posting any praise for Xbox in this thread, looking at the like/dislike ratio for anyone that does the same, but I completely agree.

We've been hard on MS this gen, but their E3 was easily their best in a great number of years. I don't think we'll see a massive change this gen, but with Phil talking about the future of Xbox, that work on the next Xbox is under way, the five new studios and everything in between, it&#...

Not sure why you're getting so many downvotes just for being a fan of the series and for being happy with the little bits you've seen of ACO :/

Either way, I understand why people are questioning the design choice. Ubisoft should have listened to the fans and went Feudal Japan and saved this one for after that, just to break up the atmosphere. Still, it's worth pointing out that the culture is massively different and arguably could be the darkest AC to date give...

@--Onilink--

No no, I don't expect it to include the DLC from year 1 at all. It includes the three premium content drops for year 2. DLCs such as Curse of Osiris and Warmind are listed as expansions so I guess we'll just have to wait and see what Bungie classes as premium content. Forgive me if I have worded it poorly.

My question is what exactly this annual pass will include. We know its going to bring lore, challenges and gear etc.. but until B...

Perhaps I'm mistaken. The store listing (via Bungie) states:

Alongside seasonal updates and live events available to every Destiny 2 player, Forsaken Annual Pass provides bonus rewards and introduces three premium content releases (anticipated in Winter 2018, Spring 2019, and Summer 2019).

Now. Bungie refer to Curse of Osiris and Warmind as Expansions on their site, not premium content releases. I think that's where wires are crossed.

That just it, this doesn't include the DLC. More so the content between DLCs; lore, challenges, gear etc...

Really? ...

The game should not be free.
The expansions should not be free.

However, when Bungie threw MTs into the mix, I'm 99.99% sure that they said that the income from that would fuel filler events and content. I'm failing to see how I'm expected to be excited about having to buy an annual pass - alongside the cost of the core game and alongside the cost of the expansion/expansion pass - for lore (of all things) records/triumphs,...

It's not including the DLCs. You have to buy the expansion(s) seperately or together alongside the annual pass at an increased price. Think of the added support that Bungie threw in, in addition to The Taken King (events and such). That's the content (albiet more of it) the annual pass covers.

In short, it's premium content that doesn't include the DLCs. Though, Bungie has yet to detail exactly what that includes.

So...

Pay for the game.
Pay for the expansion(s).
Pay for the filler.

Don't I recall Bungie saying that the MTs/Eververse would be the money that covers these filler events and such?

"Maybe we dialled it up too much?"

No, Bungie. No.

Your mistake has always been not dialling it up enough. It's why you start MOST of your reveals with "We've been listening" or "This is what the community wants". You have a great IP but you fail to meet its potential. Forsaken needs to be good. I'll reserve judgement for now.

Me, when I see defeat, I drive round the track backwards trying to derail first place. Not sure whether they've put a ghost feature in place now but back when, like you, I put several hours into racing games, I enjoyed its collision mechanics. Totally agree with you on the FH front.

Couldn't help but feel as though FM7 felt more like an elaborate expansion to FM6. I think that's where I got burnt out the most. I've said it a million times before, I'd lo...

@Foxtrot

Snap. Really nervous to see it, yet excited. My second fave RE game in the series, behind Code Veronica X (don't hate me, I loved its atmosphere). I just hope they remake 2 the same way they remade 1/0. I don't want over the shoulder 4/5/6 play or first person play. It has to, after all of this time, be geniunely in-line with the origin version.

What do you mean? I'm a little lost now.

Yikes! Not a good image to have right now.

Yes, yes it is :D

Depends what formula they use; original ceiling cams, over the shoulder, or first person.

I hope it's the former, much like Resident Evil 1 and 0. Though with this being a remake, it could be any of the above. So long as it retains the survival horror elements and doesn't slide too deeply towards action, I'm sold.

Genuinely do not know what this could be about. Any ideas?

Hills have Eyes, maybe? I'm lost...

Ah, see, that's where the limit of my knowledge on this matter ends. We'll just have to wait and see. Though if it does end up being a Killer Whale, it'l be a very odd design choice. Interesting, but odd.

+1

Though the trailer's animated shark actually has a blowhole, so I think it's a killer whale. That, and the narrator is the captain of a sunken ship known as The Killer Whale. Guesswork for now, but I don't recall Sharks or Megladons having blowholes. Unless I'm mistaken?
