that footage is plain terrible. Graphics in dire need of an overhaul and more kill shots by shooting players in the knee. Worst of all, from laying to crouching the gun remains perfectly still meaning you'll get people jumping on the spot whilst sniping and pulling off the perfect shot because the gun does not move when your looking down the barrel.
What the hell are they doing with sniper rifles on such small maps anyway.
...is still the king of the COD series for me. It raised the bar and took the biggest leap forward. The leap from COD4 to MW2 was a baby step compared to the lead from COD2 to COD4 (I'm not counting COD3 as that was not IW).
...a dynamic theme that's actually been any good so far. Some are nice but none seem to have gone all out on the XMB icons as well.
...an FPS break the mold of having a linear single player and do away with ivisible checkpoints and respawning enemies until you reach those checkpoints.
Yet to play a single player campaign where I feel like I'm actually taking on an enemy lead by anyone with any real intelligence or knowledge of military tactics.
...has it listed for $149 NZD. This is definitely a case of pricing based on brand just like Rebok, Levi's, Apple, etc.
...when it was Atari v's Amiga. At least back then it was a damn site harder for fanboys to express themselves on a global sale.
but I hope they fix some of the apparent issues with collision detection. When the car passes through part of a falling building looked kinda glitchy.
And this is a real small thing but the scaling of some objects seems to be a bit off. E.g. when driving on the grass the grass is almost as big as the car. Again, really small thing but it distracts from what is otherwise a pretty crazy looking game.
...but like me they are still trying to figure out what the hell Home is all about. I tried it and could honestly see no point to it at all beyond that of being a big virtual ad.
...but lining up at midnight for what is essentially a webcam...wow, MS are hype masters.
...in a country like New Zealand this matters a great deal. If you end up in games being hosted in the US then its nothing but a huge lag fest...ping rates of 400+
...I smell another, pointless for gamers, firmware update coming to counter this. Maybe hackers would cut the PSP a break if Sony actually opened it up or would release some better apps for it.
...they took an idea, improved on it (yes, improved), marketed the hell out of it to create demand and its paying off. The games may not be the greatest but they look great visually and provide some brief family fun.
Makes you wonder why Sony did not do the same with the PS3Eye. Take a look at what was released for PS3Eye prior to the Move coming along...Eye of Judgement, EyePet and a couple of PSN titles. Not exactly setting the world on fire were they.
...are one thing. But hardware is nothing without software. So far both Move and Kinect are not delivering on their full potential.
...some AAA games to see how things are going to pan out however, Minect has been hyped to the point of causing a real consumer frenzy so I'm sure it will do well initially.
I wonder what ever happened to the original cam released for the 360...
... but not for controlling the game - not if they want something that offers a real driving challenge anyway. To me a great use for Kinect in a racing game would be use a physical controller to play but use kinect to build custom tracks or customise your car. Developers need to think outside the box when it comes to motion control games and offer up completly new and unique experiences.
...patched it before releasing paid DLC for the game.
Lots of fun to be had with this one.
...so a publication misleads to gain higher sales. Kind of like how publishers use hype to build up a product to gain sales.
...yet crappy movies. He had 3 or 4 good flicks and the rest should have been released straight to video.
Maybe he should be campaigning against crap movies.
...the game mechanics are exactly the same as those from COD2. I had been hoping that the COD franchise over the years would favor a more realistic path than the complete run and gun path it has gone down.
