The only thing I have found disappointing about both games is the final boss battles. They play differently to everything else in the game.
I hated the quicktime elements of the final boss battle Fortune. I also hated the run'n'gun kill the brute at the end of thieves.
I never got into the FF series. Just don't like the style of play.
OMG! a modern game needing a patch, go figure.
How the hell can you put Shatter on a list where there is no Super Stardust HD, Wipeout HD or Pixel Junk Monsters?!?
Shatter was above average but its certainly no PSN top 5.
My top 5, in no certain order:
- Pixel Junk Monsters
- Super Stardust HD
- Wipeout HD
- Battlefield 1943
- Flower
My only complaint with PJS...too damn short. PJS-2 should have been DLC for PJS, kind of like how they extended PJ Monsters with an additional island.
By the way, I would take a sequel to PJM any day of the week. Its still their best game.
Yeah but the key difference is that Test Drive is multiplatform.
I tell you, they need to link all on-line accounts back to something like a Facebook page because if ever I interview one of these fanboy f**kwits they won't be getting the job!
GT5 was bagged predominantly by those who never intended to play it.
If they are in-game shots, as in actual gameplay, then where is the HUD, your gun, etc. These are either cut-scene or concept art images.
However, for all those PS3 owners who think they're in-game then you're setting yourself up for disappointment. You need to take your PS3 tinted glasses off and put your "looking through reality" ones on.
By the way, I am a PS3 owner so don't even go there.
@Joni-Ice: How about all...
Yeah, but pro means its no longer the casual party game that it use to be. If you are not going Rockband pro then why upgrade to rock band 3?
The PC has a lot more capacity to spare once you takeaway the overhead of interpreting the input from the Kinect. So I agree, just because you can do it on the PC does not mean you an do it or do it as well on the 360.
For those who disagree, how many of you think you can run Windows 7 on a 6 year old PC as well as it runs on a quad core 64-bit PC?
I did not enjoy the demo to start with however, played it for a few more hours now I can't wait for the full game.
It took me a while to get use to the new controls.
You have to keep in mind that ever since the release of the PSP-1000 that Sony was reducing its form factor and making it slimmer and more portable. They eventually, in my opinion, got the form factor right with the Go (which I own and use every day).
I don't just play games (all the time) when I'm out and about but the PSP2 looks like its all about games. I dont want to have to buy another device for music as well.
Regardless of PS3 sales Sony's market share has been eaten into by MS.
I'm still waiting to see what kind of internal storage this thing will have.
I still have to say the size of it means its not really a portable media player anymore. Simply can't slip it into your pocket and listen to music on the go.
Looking back through history there are not many examples of larger handhelds being successful.
Although GT5 has done really well I could not believe the amount of hate there was for the game. It truly felt like there was a viral campaign going on to try bring it down.
Thats a very tunnel view of things.
- Xbox gained a foothold for MS in the console gaming space
- 360 Established MS as a true player in the console gaming space.
Compared to the original Xbox the 360 has done nothing but improve MS market share. Can the same be said about PS3 for Sony?
I own both consoles so dont really care about these numbers as both consoles are doing well and I'm getting to enjoy some of the best games on ...
You know the browser sux when you can't even properly access/use websites for PS3 exclusives, e.g. Killzone 3.
Looks like that "run and gun" casual gaming mentality is taking over gaming.
Good for you. I purchased the PS3Eye for gaming but in the 4 years before Move there were only a handful of titles (most of them on PSN) that used the Eye for gaming.
If the Eye is so good I wonder how many titles will be released that only require the Eye from now on.
I wonder why it does not work with TVNZ OnDemand. If you're going to release a media program on the PS3 you would think they would have it support official PS3 peripherals.
No, but maybe have some puzzle elements on a grand scale to complete the game.
