Wow, using the word "rape" in any context to sell or speak of a game is not good. Kind of disgusting when you consider the actual act the words describes.
Wow...you joined the dots on my user name and came up with what exactly?
You'll also find my username on Xbox Live and I came up with it before the PS3 was even released. It was more a play on that great comedy skit by Abbott and Costello but I guess sitting all the way up their on your high horse you couldn't quite see that.
As for Gabes vision you believe what you like. Apart from Half Life I'm not a follower of Valve. Portal was more a puzzl...
You make an assumption that I'm a Sony supporter. I could not care less about Sony, MS or Nintendo. I'm a gamer and only want to play good games. I dont like handing over my money for sub standard product or games.
Gabes decision to not support Sony in the early days was almost as dumb at Gates saying PCs will never need more than 640k RAM.
Yeah, he knew enough to not support PS3 in the early days. Yeah, a real visionary.
I guess "jerks" could just apologise 4 years later and make everything ok.
Yes. I personally think K2 was harder than K3.
8 hours is too short if you can't get into the multiplayer however, I'm more concerned at how easy it is. If the demo is anything to go by you'll finish the game no problem at all.
Too much ammo and too many revives.
GT5 is definitely a game thats greater than the sum of its parts.
The track creator is to be honest, below average. I dont mind that I can't place objects, buildings, etc, but I wanted to be able to have complete control over the track layout.
We use to have a race called the Nissan Mobile 500 in Wellington NZ and the track was great. I so wanted to be able to re-create that, and other, tracks using the creator. Unfortunately is more about manging ...
Pre-ordered today...next week I'll be banning the kids from the lounge and cranking up the amp to play this game loud!
I loved the multiplayer demo but am not sold on the single player demo that hit PSN. Game looks brilliant visually but even on the hardest setting you could chose the game was easy.
Too many ammo crates means you don't have to be strategic with your weapons fire. Also only had to deal with 2 or 3 helghast at a time. I hope the unlocked difficulty setting provides a much harder challenge.
FYI - I found K2 a lot harder on the same difficulty settin...
When done right I have no problem with it but shoe horning zombies into a game just to get casual gamers wet is becoming annoying.
Even though the PS2 version was inferior to the GC the game was so damned good it didn't matter. RE4 unfortunately set my expectations too high as RE5 was no where near as good.
F**k and ME!
I was impressed with earlier footage but wow! easily sets a new standard for arcade racing visuals.
If this plays well and has some great on-line play then it could be set for AAA status.
Are you saying there is no competition in the PC market?
I think what's needed is for the gaming industry to get together and agree on some baseline spec for a system then allow different manufacturers to deliver to those specs.
I'm all for a single format. A baseline format that manufacturers can then take away and develop units from. Some might might add additional USB ports or memory card slots. Others might provide a cut down, bare basic version for just playing games.
At the end of the day this should all be about the games and not about who's hardware is better.
I didn't play the first Shift but this one has me interested. Hope it plays and looks good on PS3.
Tigan, I'm interested to know how GT5 compares to Forza in terms or realism?
Radec ended up, more often than not, one team being pushed back into their home base and the other team spawn killing. Real COD tactics.
I love the look of K3 but already I'm finding the multiplayer disappointing. All the elements that ruined K2 multiplayer are back with a vengence in K3.
Unbalanced teams. Everyone wanting to snipe...again! Its like playing a game of soccer and everyone wanting to be the goalie.
Spawn Killing. This seems to be even worse now that the opposition knows where the strategic spawn points are located. If your team does not capture one then chances are you g...
How can you say that. Diary of the Dead was simply dire. The guys last good zombie flick was Dawn of the Dead in the 70's.
