Firstly, they should ban all modded consoles from logging into LIVE at any level what-so-ever. Next they should brick the consoles or disable much of the functionality of the OS...such as network connectivity, custom playlists, HD support, etc.

Cause I do and I think this type of thing is great. Using a games console is a privilege not a right. If you're child does all their homework and jobs round the house then there is nothing wrong with rewarding them with time playing games (if they want to that is).
Its not healthy to be stuck playing games hour on hour anyway.

Tetris will forever be a classic of electronic gaming. My first experience of it was on the Commodore Amiga 500 - longest game in one sitting was 6 hours after which I was exhausted!
My only complaint is that the game has been pawned out far too much and many of the versions (including the recent one on XBLA) fail to inspire!
In terms of all the variants Lumines is the only game I have found to be as addictive in terms of clearing rows or blocks!

...for the actual game to be released and compared on the 360 and PS3 before start all the sh*t. We all know what the developers have said with regards to the PS3 version but that does not make the 360 version the rancid pile of sh*t PS3 owners would like you to believe.
I for one think this game is looking brilliant on all formats although I am concerned about the length of the single player campaign. However, after playing the multiplayer beta I'm guessing most of my time...
...not only do we have multiple formats in terms of media but we also have multiple formats in terms of display quality (i.e. 720p, 1080i, 1080p). To make things worse, you can get a 1080p compatible display that only has a native resolution of 720p.
This player is obviously ideal for those who want HD but don't have native 1080i or 1080p resolutions. However, whats the point as native 720p is not worth all the fuss when compared to upscaled DVD.

For me the PS3 does not (yet) have that big holiday release that will sell systems. R&C is a AAA but its not a system seller, not in huge volumes anyway - not like a GTA or MGS.

Without a doubt its the best ad I have seen for a console, not just the PS3. However, biggest downside for me is the high use of cut scenes which really stand out as superior in quality to much (not all) of the gameplay footage that was used.
