...on the 360 are available from Xbox Live Arcade. What do casual gamers do if they cannot download more XBLA games?

@XbotsMustDie: You don't strike me as wanting to own a 360 so please take your opinion and f**k off. Why do trolls like you feel the need to share your opinion when its not wanted or needed. I dare say if you stood on your hands and passed wind that you'd probably garner more respect. F**king fanboys...

Can you please explain how if someone purchased this package that they would not need a hard drive to download and play more XBLA games other than those provided on the CD?

To be honest, the core should now come with a 20GB HDD, the premium a 60GB HDD and the Elite can stay the same in terms of HDD capacity.

@PlastixBlue: You have to be kidding - I hardly expect a casual gamer to have to micromanage their downloads like that. Yes, it is an option but not a ver...

...is that we even have framerate issues. I was really hoping they were going to be a thing of the past. Furthermore, it annoys me how console gaming has become more PC like. That is, to get the best out of your console you have to buy a true 1080p display to see the games in full-res.

Obviously thats a problem inherent with HD gaming as there are so many standards of HD displays, e.g. 720p, 1080i, 1080p. Even then you have to check to see what the native resolution of the ...

...and it is by far the best multiplayer game I have played on the 360 thus far. Halo 3 might have a comprehensive on-line mode but COD4 offers a much richer experience in my opinion. Good teamplay is required to win team based matches.

There are simply too many good games out or coming out at the moment - my budget (aka my wife) just won't let me get them all!

You keep posting comments that sometimes make it seem as though you sit on the fence but really, you're just a f**king fanboy.

At least those who are not narrow minded like yourself get to enjoy Halo 3, COD4, KZ2, etc, etc. Why is it that if a game is not released on the console you support that it must be rubbish.

I'll bet your knuckles bleed when you walk!

Wow, I can't wait for the Wii version of Halo 3.

Why even throw in such a stupid comment - sick of f**k heads like yourself that obviously use only a fraction of the brain power a village idiot would use.

...the superior console version, I won't end up getting a PS3 because of it. Hell, is the visual difference really reflected in the higher price tag of the PS3? However, if games like GTAIV and RE:5 are signifcantly better on the PS3 then I will also definately get the PS3 for those games also.

I for am glad that developers are finding their feet with the PS3 but I'm really waiting for some of the big exclusives (GT5, KZ2, etc) to be released before I get one.

...I for one support this move as consumers need to become more energy conscious. The bigger the screen the more energy it will consume - simple as that.

Households need to start thinking about their energy use. You can't simply keep bringing more and more power consuming devices into the home without thinking about the impact it might have - especially with global warming becoming a real issue.

This will be the first of many moves that will be taken to combat ...

...purely so I'm not having to find space for yet another device. Especially in the kids rooms. The reason you buy an all-in-one device is so that you don't have to have multiple boxes or devices...strange that.

One of PS2s big marketing points when it was released was that it could play your PS1 games. For the first time when a new console was released you had access to hundreds of games. For those who owned a PS1 it meant they could take some of their invesment with them into the transition to the PS2. This was indeed a very marketable aspect of why someone should upgrade to the PS2. However, we all know the big gains for the PS2 did not really happen until the Slimline model was released.

...Mass Effect will therefore become a timed exclusive on the 360 with it being released on the PS3 sometime next year. However, given that its a trilogy the real concern for 360 owners should be is which will the lead platform be for Mass Effect 2 and 3?

This is great news for gamers but not for those who purchased the 360 primarily for this game.

I don't enjoy being pimped out and for one won't support either format. Even if I get a PS3 I won't be buying any movies in Blu-Ray format.

Until there is a winner I will keep buying on DVD only.

...its really great to see someone else can climb above all the fanboy sh*t and just lay praise to the game. The game looks great on all systems and if it plays the same, then all us gamers should be pleased.

...that the 360 couldn't do a R&C type game but to date, the 360 has nothing that even comes close to having a platform game of this calibre.

My kids love the R&C series and if this is as good as it looks...I look set to be buying a PS3 for Xmas.

...and I have never doubted that the PS3 is indeed a capable piece of hardware. The only thing that put me off was its price - I definately was not seeing the difference in price translating into a superior visual differences when compared to the 360.

I am glad that developers are now finding their feet with the PS3 and that the PS3 also has a more realistic price point. I for one now have to decide whether or not the difference in quality is substantial enough for me to warr...

That was indeed funny. I must admit that the fan in the 360 is quite loud but you don't even notice it when the game starts up.

...is that with a patch many of the issues that hamper Lair could be resolved. Obviously not the ideal thing to have to be done but you would think with so many people making similar noises about the game that a patch would be well under way (or is it already?).

I for one think Lair is an impressive looking game and although there may not be much new here in terms of gameplay its one of those games that make you feel good about having that big HD display and cinema sound setup...

...out of it. If you can't then f**k off. Exclsuives obvisouly contribute to a consoles overall success however, the exclusives do need to be of high calibre. Both the 360 and PS3 have some stunning exclusives which is great for all gamers...especially those that are not narrow minded enough to only buy into a single gaming format.
