...I have mixed feelings about it. It looks better than the recently released Clone Wars movie but it's no KOTOR in terms of gameplay.
+ The graphics - great at times.
+ John Williams musical score - hard to fault as always.
- Enemy AI (average at best)
- Game does not flow when in combat. Its not that the graphics or frame rate stutter, its just that there are slight pauses when in the middle of fighting enemies with your light sabre. Anyone else notice...
...but too many below average sequels have ruined it somewhat for me. That and the fact that Uncharted was such a great game.
The Hutts have always been big boned not fat!
...up GTAIV all you like but its still one of the biggest dissapointments of 2008. Now, if they said they had delivered GTA:SA gameplay using a revamped GTAIV graphics engine then I'd be interested.
...should be in a museum next to the Wii version of Dead Rising. Just check out the shadows! takes me back to the 90s!
Why buy on-line when it has no resale value?
once you get sick of the game its worthless and can't be traded or sold.
...suck. I wish all gamers would stop supporting them by buying their games. They need to be taken down a peg or two to remind them that gamers are human beings and not just ATMs they can keep making widthdrawls from.
I have a PSP and remote play just isn't practical when you're commuting to work where there is no access to the internet.
I was looking forward to dumping recorded files straight onto the PSP and walking out the door. That is no longer an option.
...Battlefield: Bad Company I won't be buying another battlefield game. Its not that the game is rubbish in fact, its quite the opposite as I find it a brilliant on-line game. However, with no sign of local servers being established to support on-line play and a lobby system that makes COD4s lobby look comprehensive, I have lost interest and don't wish to give EA any more of my money period.
You're right however, would have not been nice for sony to release this with the capability of being able to transfer video to other devices? certainly would have made it stand out amongst the crowd.
I was looking forward to no longer having to transfer files to the PC and run them through a converter.
This was going to be a day 1 purchase for me but now I'm probably going to wait as it now offers me nothing over my current HDD/DVD recorder.
...opinion as I did not get into Halo 3 on-line and the less said about GTAIV on-line the better. I have also stopped playing COD4 in favor of Battlefield: Bad Company.
However, what is important is that retailers/publishers need to point out that there is little to no value for these games in terms of on-line play which may or may not effect a consumers decision to buy. Most modern games rely heavily on multiplayer aspects but if that is taken away then you're often left with a...
...I'll bet in New Zealand we don't get it for download this week but in several weeks or months time. Heck, we still have not seen 1942 (not that 1942 is worth getting?).
...dumb enough to buy NASCAR on the PS3? Talk about trying to milk a game that was dry to start with.
...New Zealand as yet. Mind you, hardly suprising as we still don't have dedicated servers in Australis and or New Zealand as yet. They need to make that type of info availabl when you buy the game as its wrong to charge full price for the game (gold edition in NZ is $139) and not provide good support for the on-line component of the game. Which lets face it, is the only reason you buy a game like Battlefeild in the first instance.
You are correct in saying that the "PS3" is not for you just like the 360 is not for others. I agree that the 360 is all about gaming and is not trying to compete with the PS3 for being the swiss army knife of home entertainment. The 360 also has some great games going for it but so has the PS3...now.
In terms of being able to surf the net via my PS3...I love it. Sure the PS3s flash support is pure rubbish but for news (e.g. N4G) and checking my g-mail its fantasti...
...that is, he helps the other character to jump across to another building for nothing but to set up a scene so he can use a sniper rifle. That entire sequence looks great but its pointless.
I hope the final game is not so scripted (but it will be). That is, the player has the choice of going the path as seen in the video or maybe both characters could head down to the bottom floor and shoot out the door.
I loved RE4 but am hoping RE5 won't be as scripted and ...
...for my kids to start making me some levels to get through when I get home from work. They are already mapping out a level or two based on the new Doctor Who series.
This is going to be 100% fun, fun FUN!
...Take the stats and reward system from COD4, add in the destructable environments from Battlefield Bad Company and throw it into a Gears of War like sci-fi setting and you have Killzone 2.
This didn't impress me 12 months ago but its looking amazing now. The last image looks incredible. I just hope they put in a decent lobby system to drive multiplayer modes as the lobbies for COD4 and (especially) Battlefield Bad Company are crap.
...I just wish the new slimline model didn't feel so, well, cheap.
They also need to keep up the momentum created by GOW:COO as that is a stunning title.
...seems to be including everything and the kitchen sink!
If this title lives up to the hype then gamers lucky enough to own a PS3 will be in gaming heaven next year.
