From Asura to this game. Kind of sad but I hope the game does well. Would love to see them get another chance at making a console game.
Same here bro and a great gaming pc too. This whole type of conversation reeks of pathetic poor people lying to themselves about what little console is better than the next. If these guys want an impressive ass system than do it right and drop a 1k dollars on an amazing PC setup. But that is way out of their budget limit so they argue over sticks.
Don't get me wrong, I am not all that wealthy myself and we are on hard economic times worldwide. But you know what bro, I don...
The Specs wow'ed, but I need to see more games before I decide if this is a day 1 purchase for me.
The developers have said that they plan to keep adding acts. But yeah I really wish D3 would have been amazing. I take no pleasure in seeing Blizzard drop the ball like that.
Play Path of Exile on PC. It's free, has relatively low PC requirements, and superior to D3.
Just a bad move on their part.
I hate the bullshit marketing campaign for this game. It just makes me want to not play it.
I can either have 5 to 6 amazing hours of gameplay or 50 hours of drawn out gameplay. I will take the 5 to 6 hours of amazing gameplay anyday, so long as there is replay ability. If a long game meant it was good than everyone should just love FF13, that game had tutorials up to Chapter 10 and didn't truly start up until Chapter 11. It's nice when we can have both, but if it is one or the other than I choose the amazing short experience.
Not surprising really. Gearbox has been coasting by on the BL franchise for a while now. They have some of the most messed up practices in regards to dlc, just like EA. But time and time again people give them a pass. It was only a matter of time before something blew up in their face and this is it. Honestly this is only the start, people are starting to wake up now. What is really going to do it is when they finish releasing all the Season Pass dlc for BL2.
Once that is do...
Both are major companies built up around hype over outdated generic fps games. If anything, it's a match made in heaven.
The whole "my body is ready" thing in the vidocs disgusted me. Also, the "how can anything be bigger than Halo?" comment is a sad outdated notion. I will wait for actual gameplay before being put off, but nothing they have shown so far is all that special. If the Alien's controversy teaches us anything, it's always wait until public gameplay footage is available before being excited because a "credible" studio is making a game.
I can see why they canceled this, but I think it could have been really decent if given more time and attention. It seems intense anyways.
I love Sleeping Dogs, it is easily one of my favorite games. The world and the character just seem right. It has that right touch of humor with seeming condescending. It's hard to explain but I really love this game.
The West doesn't want Asian games censored. A few loud media people that would never buy the game anyways wants games censored. I am a christian, but that doesn't mean I need to go around forcing that doctrine on other people and trying to censor media to protect people. Myself and most other Christians respect other people right to see whatever they want to see, it is only a few individuals out there that try and censor games so they can exploit stupid people.
This has instantly put this game on my radar now. I am so sick and tired of mature content being censored for a few individuals that would never play the game. If the games industry wants to be taken more seriously then developers and publishers has to treat mature audience like they are actually mature and stop talking down to them. What happened with Tera was terrible, censorship wise.
Duke Nukem, Dai Katana, Alien's, and Star Wars MMO amongst a few says hi. No such thing as too big to fail. So far Destiny sounds like a generic FPS game set in a persistent MMO world. They might want to release some actual news other than hype.
It's not slated on the PC because there is nothing special about Destiny for the PC. The world they are trying to create has been done to death by people who are a lot more talented then them. So they are staying on the console in hopes of pulling a Halo. That is too release a very polished game, in this case a persistent MMO, that has already been done in PC land. Destiny looks very cool, but it is nothing special.
I don't mind the outfit change, but if they are trying to appeal to the lowest common person than this character just isn't going to be on the level of Alyx from Half-life 2. I though Ken Levine had some pull, but it is clear that he is letting marketing have way to much input in his decision making process. I still hope the game is great.
That is my biggest worry. I own a psp and I do like it, but like you said the whole jack of all trades thing worries me. I am sure the Vita will be worth a purchase long down the line but right now I am not sure.
I could see this guy leaving and forming his own studio. I can easily see him getting work as a second party developer. Nintendo, Sony, or Microsoft would be crazy not to cut a deal with this guy. I would love to see him get to make a game of his choosing with full control over the IP.
