Completely agree with you. I feel like I have gold with randoms under control, but Platinum is still bat shit insane for me.
I am not a huge Zelda guy, in fact I only beat like one of the gba games. But I want that Zelda book. I feel like that book transcends Zelda and is a part of gaming culture.

Correction, this was never a great franchise. It amazed me that they made a part 2 and I am completely baffled that they are making a part 3. Lost Planet 1 was a solid game for the early 360 titles, but it was never great. Lost Planet 2 was one step away from being terrible, the only redeeming factor was the multiple player and mechs and that barely made the game "meh." They can only go uphill with LP3.
Couldn't agree more. People are so hyped for next-gen, but if you pay attention to what EA is openly saying and Activision and Ubisoft are doing it really shades a negative light on the future. Yeah we will see triple A games, but most of them won't be unique and more and more companies will take less risk. It is going to cost so much to make these games that companies have to recuperate their loses and that means going with generic games that people know will sell.
The point of this trailer was to show that AC4 will be fun and not a moral lesson being shoved down your throat like they did with AC3. AC3 could have been so good, but apparently Ubisoft decided that they needed to be all serious and force their views of that period of time on everyone. Just read what CliffyB wrote and I am in full agreement with him and that shocks the hell out of me. Before reading this statement I didn't have much respect for his opinions, but he clearly knows what he is talking about.
I can't play ps3 games on my ps4, so why would I buy any of these upcoming titles for my ps3? I would rather just rent them and save up money for my ps4 and some release titles.
Nintendo gave third party developers a chance to be out front with their games so that first party titles didn't overshadow them. And what do we get, no major third party support early on and one of the biggest third party titles, Rayman, being delayed despite it being done.
Ultimately I am not worried about the WiiU because I know that Nintendo has enough games they will release that will be amazing for the system. Also this idea of Second Party titles, like Shin Megami ...
A lot of folks think that a price drop is needed, but really Nintendo has to get some good games on their console. This was a really great interview, it was surprising and refreshing to hear a professional gamer go into so much revealing detail about the pro scene and a lot of these "gamer" shows.
She is actually a professional gamer, not some "girl gamer" just preying on people and exploiting her gender to get free stuff. You should listen to the interview, it was really good and she talks about the whole girl gamer thing that you bring up.
How about a Fix for the issue that causes the game to FREEZE after the final boss fight. Such bullshit man, I will never buy another Crytek game unless it has been heavily discounted and even then I will think thrice about it.
The WiiU looks really disappointing right now. Whereas the Wii was all hype and big sales early on and then it drop off heavily. I think the WiiU is going to be the opposite, with very slow sales at the start and a steady climb of sales as the console lifespan goes on. Right now the demand for the WiiU is low but a lot of people still want one, they are just waiting for the good games to come out.

The right thing for who? For the game developers that think every used game sold is a sell lost or for gamers that want to play games before they buy them. If Sony pulls this bullshit where they don't let you rent games then screw them and their underpowered PC. I will go buy a nextbox, a wiiu, and a gaming PC. Yes I can afford all three so money isn't the issue here. I can't imagine paying $60 for Alien Colonial Marines because I couldn't rent it first.
