People have to understand that the images that have been shown aren't what the final eShop is going to look like! Why would they keep it such a secret to only let it leak in some random pictures? The developer Shin'en makes eShop games and currently has Nano Assault coming to the WiiU for launch and they said that they haven't even seen what the final eShop is going to look like. There's a reason that Nintendo said that days before the WiiU launches the eShop site will be down...
Maybe with all of the sensors in the controller, its something they felt could be mapped out in a different way. We have no clue how racing games are going to be designed for this console. But if most plan on using the GamePad itself as the steering wheel. Then the accelerator could be mapped to one of the analogue sticks. Or if steering is controlled by the analogue stick, then acceleration could be controlled by the gyroscope and how far you tilt the GamePad forward and what not...
I hear ya and its only a matter of time before we start seeing boxes sending video feed wireless as well! We are moving towards a cable free untethered society...

I find this very interesting! The Wii played GC games and didn't need any updates at all to play BC games. But WiiU needs an update period to play any Wii games. So is it replicating the Wii through software emulation? If it was hardware you wouldn't need such a mandatory update, it would at least play some or most Wii games. This leads me to believe that the CPU isn't 3 Broadway cores duct taped together, as most like to put it...
This game does look amazing and im sure the story writing is top notch as well! One of those games that you get so lost into the experience that you forget that you're playing a game...

People have to understand something, all publishing contracts are not created equal! Just because I mentioned that no Nintendo published game has ever showed up on another console before. People throw around, well Microsoft published ME1 and NG2 and those showed or are showing up on PS3... But notice that I said no Nintendo published game! We're not talking about Microsoft here, we know that they are willing to pay for timed exclusives, DLC and what not. But Nintendo is a different animal...
Nintendo is publishing this game, there is no way that Nintendo is letting this version go anywhere else... I dont know why people keep thinking that they are gonna see this or Bayonetta 2 sometime in the future. Its the same reason you haven't seen a Killer Instinct, Banjo Kazooie, Donkey Kong Country or Golden Eye 007 game for the Xbox360! Nintendo published all of those games. Now Perfect Dark and Conker they did not and that's why those games are on the 360.

Well I think that Shane Satterfield put it best when he stated that the technology simply isn't there yet for Sony to release a reasonably priced console and yet make it dwarf the WiiU in visual fidelity! Horsepower wise, yes PS4 will be beyond the WiiU. But does all of that matter much if you can't really tell the difference?
This article definitely gives Sony way to much credit... The GC was the worst home console that Nintendo ever shipped and supported sales wise and they made major profits during that timeframe!
