One thing that bothers me about these comparisons is this, what are these sites trying to accomplish with the comparisons? You don't see movie reviewers doing comparison's on how Dark Knight looked watching a movie on a Philips DVD player, and how it looked using a Samsung DVD player. It leads me to believe that the people who run these are people who believe that it's a big deal, and are probably fanboys of a system to feel a need to show these.
Recently I read a story about how...
Have Insomniac heard how hard it is to develop for the PS3? Why would they continue doing exclusive's for Sony with the PS3 being such a hard console to make games for?
Why is it so hard to believe a christian can be a gamer? I'm christian and love video games. And ppl call christians ignorant...
I disregarded this article the moment I read the line "* Microsoft Makes Multi-Platform games there own with DLC". Seriously, how can you be taken seriously when you can't tell the difference between there, their, and they're. I'm pretty sure I learned the difference between those 3 when I was in 3rd grade. I love my PS3, and don't plan on owning a 360, but I believe in real journalism, not this flame bait crap coming from someone who can't spell any better than someone in elemen...
The exclusive DLC just kinda sucks. I'm all for exclusive games because it helps the companies compete with each other, and competition is good for us consumers because we are usually the winners (lower prices and such) but the exclusive DLC just punishes the gamers.
I don't get the point of exclusive DLC. If you're gonna screw the ppl who want your content, why not just make it a 360 exclusive? You already put the content on both consoles, and then you're gonna say to one that they don't get the extra goodies? I mean this on both sides too. I love my PS3, but PS3 exclusive DLC isn't any better. We all make our choices on which console to get, and shouldn't be felt like we're being punished for our choice.
Apparently coming up with content to write about in the gaming media is bleak. When you have to make up flame bait stories to get hits, it doesn't say much for your ability to bring in people with legit stories. How about putting some effort into actually bringing us REAL stories instead of joining the ranks of websites who feel they need to get hits this way.
Dude, you sit here and criticize an article for posting this, when the first words in your post are "I posted this the other day...". Uh...so it's ok for you to post this, but nobody else? I get it, causing flame wars to gets hits is a "big" site tactic. Thank you for clarifying.
And gears of war isn't just as ridiculous?
But can Veteran be started on the game from the first play? If Veteran is unlocked after beating it on normal, then I assume that part of even getting Veteran as an option requires you to play the game thru on a lower difficulty level, so yea starting the game with your previously beat game is still kinda cheating. Tell your friend to earn it on his own and stop being such a n00b.
Why is anyone criticizing Treyarch or Sony for this? People work hard to get trophies, and I have no problem with anyone keeping people from cheating. I mean c'mon, if you can't get the trophies on your own you don't deserve them. You're seriously going to be a whiney little b!tch
because you couldn't cheat? Not to mention that if Sony plans use trophies to buy things in Home then trophies are going to have more value than just bragging rights. Personally I don't care about buying ...
Well, I have to admit. Between the hardware fiasco of the 360, the BS with Vista, and Microsoft's clear hatred for ANY competition(apple, linux, google, firefox, sony, yahoo, YOU)I may have to dump all of my Microsoft stuff. Pretty soon they're going to start planting bugging devices in their products so that they can monitor what other products you use. If you use a competitor, they send goons to rid you of their world.
I could have sworn that while reading playstation blog today that they mentioned alternative control schemes for this game. I thought they said Type D would give you the ability to strafe. I'll try it tonight and see, but it would be funny if all of you were whining about the controls, and all this time you could change it, lol.
Sadly, I'm sure many will not change over. I have already known MANY 360 owners who would buy a new system even though they had the warranty. If they haven't realized the quality of their product now, they never will.
I highly doubt you've had those issues. It's clear from your remarks that you just want to see how many people you can get to respond and start a fight. Nice try...maybe less exaggerated numbers would have been more effective?
The fact that this article complains about Sony fanboys proves that the writer is a 360 fanboy. BOTH sides are ridiculous, and singling out one side of the fanboy war just shows that you are on the other side. Stop being an idiot...
Every game that you mentioned have gotten great reviews from what I have seen. Yes, they all might not be as good as the previous versions, but are by far not bad games. I mean, World at War is a sequel to one of the best games out there, Call of Duty 4. Did you see the 4 at the end of that title? Call of Duty 4 WAS a sequel. Instead of saying that games should not have sequels, maybe your story should be more about developers keeping their franchises fresh. Do something that revitalize...
I tried buying the game yesterday. They had the game marked for $39.99, and when I rang it up I mentioned the -$30 instant rebate. The manager came over and keyed in his code, and it brought the price down to $30. I brought up that the website mentioned it should be $30 off they mentioned that that was only at it's full retail price of $59.99. I didn't really care about the game, so I didn't really argue the fact, but this story is BS.
But has ANYONE doing these sales figures tried to analyze how many 360's have been purchased by people who already bought 360's? Seriously, almost everyone I know who has had the dreaded RROD has just bought a new one. One of my friends has had a total of 3 RROD systems, and bought a new one each time. I don't really see how this isn't being analyzed.
Have you seen all of the articles?!?! They're everywhere! Why would I be sarcastic? Personally I can't stand when a developer works hard and knows how to come at a challenge. We need more developers like that Left 4 Dead guy(I could look up his name, but I guess I'm lazy) who rightfully doesn't want to have to go to all of the troubles of a complicated architecture. Insomniac...you make me sick. The only thing you're doing is making these other developers look bad. Shame on you Insomni...
