I think with the exclusives coming out on PS3 everyone now knows what the PS3 is capable of, so something like these screenshots are just further proof of lazy developers. Nobody can claim the PS3 hardware is inferior anymore, so it's all on you Rockstar. I'm glad I didn't have plans to pick this up in the first place. I never could get into GTA, and my friends are already comparing this to GTA western style.

For some reason I thought this was out already. I'd always meant to pick up the first, but it was never a priority for me.
It's more or less an expansion, hence the reason it's called Brotherhood instead of 3. I personally wouldn't want it to be the 3rd as I hope they make the 3rd game in a new unique location. I'm convinced though that the 3rd game will be a modern day with the way things unfolded at the end of 2.
Anyway, I will at least argue that X-Men Origins: Wolverine would be something to strive for in movie based games. It wasn't perfect, but for a movie tie in it was pretty fun.

Move has been advertised several times as coming out this fall. I think last year they were shooting for this spring, but they've changed it to this fall. Even that Kevin Butler "future" ad stated this fall, as in 6 months into the future I think when the ad came out.
The infinity ward stuff is about the only thing I've looked into, but is this only Kotick's doing, or more of an Activision as a whole's doing? Also, I'm not convinced we public know all of the details of that whole thing. I mean, if those dudes were actually doing something that broke their contract, I can kind of see why they got fired. But we don't know for sure either way. Right now it's kind of "he said, she said" until it's settled in court.

It sounds to me like your problem may be size related more than speed related. I know the PS3 updated tend to be large, but I don't know how they compare to 360 updates. If you can download GoWIII in 20 minutes though, my guess is that PS3 updates tend to be larger than 360 updates.

Dude, if you're downloading God of War III, which was around 2.7 GB, then you're pulling down like 18Mbps. 20 minutes for close close to 3GB of data is NOT slow.
So it looks like Dead Space is the new Resident Evil, and Alan Wake is the new Silent Hill. Although I doubt Alan Wake will be as scary as Silent Hill, it's got that atmosphere vibe going for it.
I will find myself wondering in games why they didn't try harder. One of the best examples is that I played the God of War III demo, and a day later downloaded the Dante's Inferno demo. While the two play similarly, after playing the God of War WIII demo it made Dante's Inferno harder to swallow. The upside is that I made sure to play the full Dante's Inferno game BEFORE God of War III was released so I wouldn't notice as much.
I think we can all agree that gameplay is the most important thing in a game. So when you say "it's the gameplay that matter", we all know that.
While graphics aren't a final determination on how good a game will be, it does reflect how hard the devs worked on it. Graphics are like the whipped cream and cherry on a sundae. Seriously, regardless of your friend being able to fix it himself, a piece of technology should NEVER have a failure rate this high. I love how everyone just accepts this low quality. It's just more reason for Microsoft to not give a damn next gen and rush it again. Good luck to you I say.
