It's because it wasn't in first person, and you couldn't change costumes, and there was only one version of a gun that took forever to aim. In other words, lame excuses is why anyone would say it's only a slight improvement.
I love this series. I loved the first game, loved the second one, and I know I'll love this one. It combines so many of my favorite things. History, weapons that AREN'T guns, secret societies, etc...
If the online is done well, this will just be another incredible step forward for the franchise. Don't screw it up Ubisoft.
The people who are pro-lawsuit continue to use the same flimsy excuse of "what if Sony BD playback or the ability to play games" obviously don't understand the monumental difference. Other OS is a perk, BD playback is a basic and key feature to the basic function of the console. Removing it would damage the PS3's most basic capabilities and no longer make it a game console and/or video player. Removing the Other OS option literally does nothing to hamper what the console was...
Ever heard of a little thing called piracy? It's the worst on PC platforms, and the reason PC gaming is considered to be dying because developers don't want to develop games when they won't even break even thanks to piracy.
You should read more, because Obama has not really done anything good for the U.S.
I'm from Canada, and seeing it from an outsiders view, but all of my American friends tell me that the country is going to hell thanks to Obama. For starters, he increased the U.S.'s national debt to 27 trillion at the beginning of his term. A debt that won't be paid for generations. It may have started with Bush, but it got worse with Obama.
He was supposed to pull...
He was addressing graduates. These people MADE IT THROUGH THE EDUCATION SYSTEM and passed. Who is he talking to then? Obviously these people DON'T have a problem with gaming if they are sitting there, at graduation, listening to his speech. He targeted the wrong audience.
Find it funny he didn't mention the Wii? lol.
Look, the simple fact is that EVERY company places a clause in ANY agreement that states they are allowed to take action to protect said product from any form of illegal use, which is what Sony did. In protecting their bottom line, and the PS3, from piracy, they removed a feature that was the root cause of said illegal activity. It's the same things as satellite companies being able to cut your service for hijacking a signal, or copyright companies coming after you for illegally downloadi...
"Stop justifying it and let the consumer be the winner on this one."
Are you serious? Sony sells the PS3 at a loss until just recently, we get the best, and for the longest time CHEAPEST, Blu-Ray player on the market with HDMI 1.3, a fully functional multimedia center, web browser, HD gaming console, with FREE online gaming, and somehow the consumer LOSES?!!
*Sigh* Anti-Sony fanboys have absolutely no concept of logic, value, and quality.

Linux is a free OS and it likely cost Sony nothing to program the ability for another OS to be used AS AN OPTION. I don't remember going to my local EB Games, buying an original 60GB PS3 Phat, Motorstorm, and guarantees and going "just what i needed, now i can use Linux". Could it be that I paid for a game console?
Now there's a sad trolling post if I ever did see one. Truth is, people like you who are the pickiest people in the world make it so that Sony can do no right. Sony has B.C., you say "if I wanted to play PS2 games, I'd play on my PS2". Sony removes B.C. to lower the price, you say "where's my B.C., I was promised B.C. and I want B.C." *sigh*
Sony gave gamers everything, and you complained. They take stuff away, to again GIVE YOU A LOWER PRICE, ...
an excuse is used to cover up a falsehood. what i said isn't false. the wii doesn't sell because of quality, that's pure truth and you know it. it sells because it's cheap and easy, which Nintendo has experience with given they used to own a love hotel in japan. and it has one of the highest rated exclusives, Super Mario Galaxy. While I concede that it is the highest rated game this gen, it is also the first Mario game released for the Wii at the start of this gen and wouldn...
You really are a Nintendo defender aren't you? Always spinning something in their favor. *sigh*
95% of the Wii's library is mini games and crapware. And the Wii's best rated or best sold games are only so because of brand recognition (Mario games) or being bundled (Wii Sports). So yeah, big competition there. *rolls eyes*
why?
Make me wish there was a "PC Troll" option in the report section. God I wish you'd all go away.
For reminding me of Mega Man and Castlevania. Though Mass Effect still has a long way to go before touching any of the truly deserving top franchises.
Not by a damn longshot. Halo has to lick the assorted crud and animal excrement off the boots of the likes of the Mario, Zelda, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, and Gran Turismo series before it can even come close to comparing.
You have got to be kidding. They are talking about the franchise as a whole. And no franchise has more success than Mario. Mario is synonymous with video games. Mario has been around so long, you can't think of gaming without him. It isn't about just how the games are now, it's about the franchise as a whole. Which also makes this list a huge fail.
Should be something like this in my opinion. Based on overall success, this is my top 5.
1. Mario <...
Someone beat me to what I was going to post.
