Wonder if it'll be a next gen game? Could be brushed under the rug if it launches on current consoles after new ones come out next holiday.

There is going to be a lot less difference between the console next gen compared to this one. Nintendo has an HD console for one thing. I personally think we'll see improvements next gen, but I doubt it will be as big a leap as this current gen was. I actually think Nintendo makes the biggest leap from Wii to Wii U, that isn't to say the Wii U will be most powerful, but just the difference between their generations will be the most significant.

That being said, why w...

They wont force it...at first anyway. I have a feeling its going to be instituted by 99% of developers anyway. Third party games that are multi-platform make Achievements/Trophies anyway, so they can easily implement Nintendo's Accomplishments. I'm sure first party games will also offer these as well.

I think if enough people complain, Nintendo will listen and add them to all games, just like Sony did with the PS3 and Trophies. They weren't there at first, then w...

Your not alone, I loved Fable 3. I think they took a step back in a few areas but I liked the overall story and game. I think it was rushed a bit, so I'm thankful that Fable 4 will get the proper development time.

Its pretty fun, its refreshing to see one of Microsoft's first party studios put some actual development time in with a Kinect game. Controls work great and are responsive, graphics look really good, maybe they should use Unreal Engine for all the Fable games?

I definitely recommend downloading this if your a Kinect owner and Fable fan. This game gets me really excited for Fable 4 on the next Xbox!

When you have 90+% of the market its hard to really believe what he is saying. It does say that they have a lot of faith and trust in the Xbox brand. They have come a really long way in a short period of time.

Also, just because they are releasing Windows 8 doesn't mean everyone will use it, I'll stick with Windows 7 because I think its beast.

I cannot wait to see what innovations we get with the Xbox 720, I really wish they'd announce it sooner r...

Finally, some new hardware to excite gamer's. I personally think Microsoft and Sony have missed a great opportunity to launch new consoles this year, or even last year. Nintendo is the first to take the plunge and it looks like its going to pay off huge.

For sure! already pre-ordered! Bring on next gen!

Well launching before any other consoles are even announced is going to help it tremendously. The fact that the pre-orders are all sold out right now says a lot about the product as well.

If they sell 12-15 million by the holidays of 2013, I don't see Microsoft or Sony catching up, especially if they have a more expensive console.

Wii U is powerful and $299-$349 at launch for a new console is pretty damn good. Nintendo has some of the best exclusives around and they have some intense fans. Its the core gamer's that are the early adopters. When I heard of the Wii U and people were speculating the price, I said it'd need a $299-$350 price point and we got both of those.

I suspect they'll drop the price $50 across the board when the next Microsoft and Sony consoles launch, those launches will...

Oh my yes, backwards compatible PS3's upscale PS2 games to full HD and has smoothing as well. It fit PS2 games to full screen and HD. They looked great!

I still have a BC PS3 thankfully, that is one feature that should never have been taken out.

It would be cool if the Wii U did the same, its a powerful machine, so I don't see why it wouldn't.

Its been six years since we've had new hardware, no way am I waiting for anything. Last I checked it was 2012 and not 1999, so I'm not fooled by any "wait and see" public relations BS. Nintendo has gone out of their way to get third party support for the Wii U, their launch lineup is one of the best lineups ever.

Its a definite day one, which is why I pre-ordered.

Microsoft never lost the core gamer's, in fact Xbox 360 owners have a core title called Halo 4 launching in November. Gears Of War 3 launched last October and broke the previous Microsoft pre-order record.

Microsoft successfully gained family and casual gamer's and it extended the life of the Xbox 360, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. They still put out some of the most core AAA titles each and every year, and they have had the best core year ever for XBL...

I'm sure you'll see the other companies try and copy what Nintendo does.....again.

Fanboys make more excuses than a politician, I'm sure we'll hear them all when the Wii U is selling like hotcakes, it'll probably build up a 12+ million lead before Sony or Microsoft even launch their next consoles.

Its a totally different era.
1.Nintendo hasn't lost their fans by releasing add-on'd and then dropping support for them.

2.Nintendo has a very large and hardcore fanbase.

3.Sega launched the Dreamcast after one of the worst selling and received consoles ever, people were skeptical.

4.At that time, people were in love with Sony, there was a lot of brand loyalty and people were willing to wait. Part of that is why Sony got so co...

For me and millions of other gamer's, YES! First new hardware in six years could be an Atari console and it'd be a day one for me. I'm dying for something new on the hardware side of things.
