Cliff has nothing to do with Gears being exclusive to Microsoft really, it is the president of Epic Games Mike Capps who has stated repeatedly that Gears wont ever go to a Sony platform.
Microsoft covers all of the advertising and a lot of production costs with the Gears series, they also publish the games. If you really want to play Gears, get an Xbox 360.
The leaked factual Microsoft documents called it the Xbox 720, I highly doubt they would call it Xbox 8 because that is confusing and Windows 9 would be out before the end of the lifecycle of the console.
I think I've just gotten used to Xbox 720 at this point.
I got $1200 for an original Wii around Christmas 2006. I did the same thing, bought two, kept one and sold the other on Ebay. Made enough to buy everyone in my family something nice for the holidays though.
They didn't have a bunch of different colors because they didn't want people NOT to buy a Wii simply because they didn't have the color they wanted.
Believe it or not some people will wait rather then buy something if its not the color they want. When the black Wii came out they had the deal with Mario Kart and I bought one, but almost walked out because they didn't have any black Wii bundles, luckily I asked if they could check the back and they did.
It will succeed, no doubts there. Just wish November 18th would hurry up and get here so I can go down and grab both my Wii U's!
Hit me up around that time and I'll give you my Ebay name because I'll be selling the other premium system, hoping to get $1200-$1500 for it.
I bought a Dreamcast, had the internet been better at the time, Sega might still be in the console market. I played Quake 3, NFL 2K1 and Phantasy Star Online back in the day on the Dreamcast.
Had DSL or Cable internet been an option, they would have had the online aspect of gaming cornered. Ps2 didn't even launch with an online adapter.
Ya, I'm picking up Fable The Journey on Tuesday, Forza Horizon two weeks later and two weeks after that its Halo 4, the biggest exclusive of the year! Thanks for reminding me bro!
I got both pretty much at their launches, I camped out for an Xbox 360 and bought COD2, Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo, Condemned and I think Prey.
I waited a bit to get a PS3, bought the MGS4 bundle, which was the last one that offered a backwards compatible PS3, I also picked up COD4, Uncharted and Resistance.
I've gotten pretty good use out of both, but I do remember being disappointed that I spent all that money on a PS3 and I still had to buy HD cables or ...
Well problems happen from time to time, but Xbox Live tends to get games before PSN, they update earlier.
Busy yourself with the exclusive Medal Of Honor demo, or something else until they fix the issue.
I don't really feel like posting a wall of text with you, but I will say that I own 225 Xbox 360 games and 35 PS3 games.
It doesn't really matter how much tech is inside, the price is too high for the average gamer to give it interest. I bought a 3DS when the price dropped, I'd buy a Vita if the price dropped and they added a memory card it.
SSDD in my opinion for Sony.
The definition of insanity is "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
Personally I think Sony keeps making a lot of the same mistakes with the launches of their consoles. The PS3 was super expensive (No butts about it) and they lacked games for the first couple of years.
What does Sony do with the Vita? launches it at a price point that the 3DS just flopped at! Once again too high of a price point (No butts about...
Cant wait! I got Fable The Journey on the 9th, then two weeks later I get the Collectors Edition of Forza Horizon and a week after that its Assassins Creed 3, a week later its Halo 4 and a week after that Black Ops 2! Its a busy and expensive couple of weeks!
It could be if it interferes with your day to day life, but like anything its not something that the masses will have to deal with or be worried about.
If your losing your job, family or something like that, your probably playing games too much.
He was one of the head people at Epic Games, your probably reading a bit too much into things. 20+ years at the same job is a long time, especially if you just got married and hadn't really had time to take a break or any time for yourself.
I'm sad to see him go, mostly because he was good to the fans and an outspoken member of Epic Games, but there was more to Gears and Epic Games than Cliff. It was a team and it'll continue to be a team.
No, its Gold Members only. That is like asking if you can download the PSN+ games without being a member. Its a perk of being a XBL Gold Subscriber.
If your paying $60 a year for XBL Gold, your not looking very hard, a quick search on Ebay or Amazon will find deals as low as $35.
Is PSN+ Free To Play? You have to pay to play those games right? Even if something is technically free to play. Its the same for Xbox Live.
People complained that you didn't get games with XBL Gold, now they are giving really good games like this, which is really fun and addicting. Plus all the other great XBL Gold features. ...
I get a kick out of how they spelled "rumors"...lol
Quit making so much sense around these parts man!
I wouldn't worry about Gears though, that is what teams are for, Cliff was only one guy and wasn't even working on Judgment, he was working more on Fortnite.
People come and go when it comes to development teams, but there are a lot more talented people in the gaming industry today than ever before.
I smell GOTY!
Well it could have something to do with us fighting for our freedom from an oppressive and tyrannical England, we then go on to invent little things like cars and planes and rock and roll music, land on the moon and come to the aid of other countries when they come crying to us.
