What I said was fact, and is easy enough to look up. Every game they put out has had a Platinum Hits version, with the exception of Kinect Sports, but we know that has sold like 5 million copies.
People just like to hate on Rare because they need something to complain about. Most of the people claiming to be Rare fans hate Nintendo and didn't support the games they were releasing anyway. Conker was fun, sold crappy on N64 and Xbox.
I'd love to see an...
People always look at the Sega Genesis and SNES as a great time in consoles and console sales, but those sales paled in comparison to what we have now, although I do believe consoles will sell less next generation, we probably won't see 100 million units pushed from a single console, but we'll see 50, 60 and 70 million.
The biggest rumor is that they are rebooting Perfect Dark for the Xbox 720 and that they are also creating a new IP to launch the 720 with.
When you consider how large Rare is and how they've been hiring like crazy, its not out of the realm of possibility. Also, the last game they actually worked on was Kinect Sports 1, Kinect Sports 2 was made by Big Park, although it was "assisted" by Rare, they didn't have much to actually do with the game. So Rare hasn...
I am hoping some of these early fantastic scores will put the game on more peoples radar, I know its a busy month filled with great games, but this game deserves sales to go along with fantastic scores. Cant wait to pick up my copy!
Fantastic scores all around for this baby. I cannot wait to pick up my copy on the 23rd. The demo was brilliant and its a totally new Forza franchise to look forward to.
Amazing scores! People might complain that Microsoft doesn't put out a ton of exclusives with the next generation looming large, but nobody can deny the quality of the exclusives they are putting out.
Another great core game for the Xbox 360, in reality this is a new racing IP. Forza is in the name because people associate that name with the highest quality racing games this generation.
Playground Games looks to have done an absolutely amazing job with this game. Cannot wait to pick up my limited edition on the 23rd.
Damn, the Forza tradition continues! People need to keep in mind that this game was made by Playground Games, who have a stable of developers who made the Project Gotham games.
The demo ruled, the game looks amazing and I'm glad the reviews are so positive.
Xbox Live Gold Members receive a premium service, part of the reason I enjoy Xbox Live so much is that I get so much content. Timed DLC, beta's like the Medal Of Honor one, maps before anyone else, these are all reasons I enjoy having Xbox Live.
Obviously it is a solid strategy and it works rather well. I've actually heard people in a store tell someone they were going with the Xbox 360 version because they get maps first.
Its the end of the console...
There was nothing lied about, we got to complete a fantastic series and Mass Effect 3 was a huge improvement over Mass Effect 2 in my opinion. If you want to talk about being lied to, this generation has been filled with promises that weren't kept.
The average gamer may very well be 35-40, but I can promise you that wasn't the average age of the person whining over Mass Effect 3. It was the younger "entitled" gamer complaining. I don't know a single olde...
Wii U will perk things up.
I don't really consider the slimmer version an upgrade, it's a cost saver for Sony. It looks a bit like the Atari Jr from the 80's and not having a disk slot is a bit of a turn off for me personally.
I have a fat PS3, but if I needed another one it would be the first slim for me.
Great news! Microsoft sure has locked down North America, it helped them a lot in becoming number 1 worldwide in 2011. They will probably sell a ton on Black Friday yet again, I think last year they sold 1 million units on that one day.
You can't buy 2100 MS Points, only 400, 800, 1200 ect... 400 MS Points is $5, so most things are pretty clear cut. If you buy Avatar items sometime you'll end up with 60 MS Points left, but its not a big deal for most people.
I don't mind Microsoft Points, but I'll be happy when the Xbox 720 releases and they use real money, just so it'll shut up all the idiots who constantly complain. I'm sure they will find something else to complain about, but at least that will be one less thing.
Its the future of gaming in the 80's and 90's, but if 3-D gaming failed because of glasses, what makes people think they'll want to wear stupid goggles over half our faces?
I would say smartphones will cut into handheld sales a bit, but there is still going to be a market for dedicated handhelds. As long as the quality of games in handhelds is so much superior, they will be fine.
Rare isn't going anywhere, Microsoft helped them to turn things around and actually make money. I have to wonder where all the Rare love was for games like Grabbed By The Ghoolies and the original Conker or even the Xbox Conker. Those games all sold very poorly.
What incentive is there for them to release new versions of the games people claim to care so much about?
Not sure why people ignore that Rare has been one of the most active and acclaimed develo...
Bring back the weird babies!
I agree with the score and sentiments of the author completely. This episode was meh at best, the last 10 minutes are really worth it though. I am glad that Telltale Games isn't going to go the happy ending route with this series.
