Also CVG themselves called it a GOTY competitor. They're kind of shooting their self in the foot by contributing to the hype and then questioning it.
AC is a bit of an anomoly. It is definetly one of the most anticipated games this year; it's the 5th most wanted game this fall according to nielson, 2nd most wanted according to ign, and it's pre-order numbers (according to vgchartz at least, taken with some salt) it's at 700k+ numbers.
Yet, AC articles are no getting enough attention. For example, GM gave the game a 97% yet on n4g the article took for ever to get approved (I don't think it even got approved)...

As for me, the best games are multiplat.Look at the horizon Arkham City, Skyrim, etc. It's not like there's zero to play on xbox, but the exclusives have been short in quantity which is a problem. But the system is far from dead.
You can't just base it on one thing. We all know the wii has been dead for a few years and is far from the console of choice this gen. Look at stuff like attachment rates, and online actitvity. I'm not say the 360 is out right gamer's choice, but based on those two criteria, there is a strong argument that it has been.
Personally, the anniversary editoin is refreshing in a holiday season so concerned with military shooters. Sci-fi shooters like gears, resistance, killozone, and halo have their own personalities, where as most military shooters now are just blending together.
This game isn't just a port it's a re-imagining of the game, that's what makes me so excited.

I am really impressed by the PS3 gameplay as well. See, that's what I was promised by DICE all those months ago. I can admit I had a knee jerk reaction to the beta, but a lot of people did. I was wrong. I'm sure some people won't let me forget it but, but I was wrong.
It's the circle size that's indicating how much they are wanted.
