Eurogamer has the most consistently well-written reviews in gaming. You have to read it. An 8 isn't bad, they use the scale appropriately, which is something many in the industry have lost the ability to do. when I read their BF3 review (8/10) that got my hyped to get the game. Because the analysis was so concise and insightful.
No that's not my problem. The game looks fantastic. My problem with the review is that it just cats the consoles aside like they hardly even matter. If it's a score attributed to all version, why spend so much time on the PC specifically and not what all the versions do well?
Because people are asking these outlets so they're letting their readers know what's up.
I don't really like this review because they should have separated the console version form the PC version. The writer basically writes the console versions of as an after thought. It seems like the writer played the PC version extensively, then played the console version for 2 hours last night and stuck them together.
The writer is doing a disservice as a reviewer, by not properly informing people about the game considering they're showering praise on the PC, briefly...

Well, well. At the risk of inciting flames, I can't help but just point out many people on this site said the 360 version wouldn't even be at parity with the ps3 version. Well, there's proof right here that proves otherwise.
But seriously the 360 looks just narrowly, and I do mean narrowly, better. It's noticeable but not something that would make you denounce a version as garbage by any means.

Some publications aren't very reliable so, they have to weed the undesirables out.
I wasn't totally thrilled with my first experience, so it would be wise to use my $70 carefully. Especially considering the other options I have this fall.
I'm going to buy it, day one. But I'm probably not going to open it until thrusday or friday. I'm pre-ordering it so I get karkland dlc and heed what reviews have to say. I wasn't blown away with the beta, but I warmed up to it over time.
I'm getting from eb, so if I open it, I can't get my money back, hence the waiting game.
