No Viewtiful Joe?
Altair was a seasoned asshole.
@hardlydan
Haha, fair enough
I disagree about the narritive comment.
Halo's narrative and fiction is one of the most interesting ones out there, the breadth is also one of the best in games.
A highly intelligent contribution to the topic.
*rolls eyes into mouth*
banning the top selling system in the US, will not have good effects on the games industry.
Logical. Why waste money going to gamescom when e3 just happened, and they are in the middle of repositioning the 360? TGS is a wash automatically, because 360 sells peanuts there. Games are a business, and ms is a company that has succeeded in integrating the 360 with other parts of their business and products. If it's one thing this gen has highlighted, it's that a significant amount of gamers fail to realize this simple fact.
In addition, many core gamers really f...
The funny thing is, people make all these apocalyptic predictions about the 360having a bad year. People said it in 2010 and 2011, 360 still had a great year sales wise. I will full admit that ms better have some plans for some new ip or dip into rare's cookie jar going into next-gen, but the xbox is still selling so they must be doing something right.
I'll never forget how Iwata said in 2004 that online was a fad, haha. But seriously, nintendo is always a step behind in the fundamentals of a system. Ds, wii were both innovative but their online systems, and 3rd party support were not very good at all. I want t believe that nitendo will come armed to the teeth at tgs, but they had the same intention at E3 and blew it.
They can turn around, but it's gonna take some serious work.
Except we knew about pikmin, nsmb is getting stale, and we wait a year for the wiiu to show of third party games we played months ago, no details about the system for launch (price, date, etc). I feel like I'm even more indifferent to the wiiu, and I waited patiently for a year for them to prove blow the doors down.
If the fable games are mediocre, then what else is?
To each their I guess, Fable II is one of my favourite games ever.
^ for example darksiders.
Man, all the release dates for downloadable games (that aren't in the summer of arcade) are up in the air.
Spelunky xbla? Joe Danger the movie? Mark of the ninja? Rock band blitz?
That's the thing I find most infuriating about downloadable games; release dates. Mostly because they barely mean anything as they're getting pushed all the time and downloadable games take longer than boxed games to come out.
360 euros?
That's well over 400 American if I'm to be correct.
If this rumour is true, Nintendo has dug themselves into a bigger hole.
Well, did we need more Mario?
Galaxy provided that hell yes we did.
I agree that ME1 and ME2 are great, but I think ME3 is a great game. Are the sidequests boilerplate? Sure. But the overall sense of hopelessness gave the game the most consistent, palpable theme in the series. The ending wasn't the best, but as a final game it was still amazing to me.
It will be interesting to see how Bioware will try to salvage the ending.
I swear the gaming media with has become a little too spoiled with E3 for a couple of years.
Vita in 2011
3ds and kinect 2010
Uncharted 2, Mass Effect 2, GOW 3 2009.
Gears 2, LBP, Fallout 3, Street Fighter IV, Dead Space 2008.
Personally, I think this year was great software. sure their was some disappointment, mainly the wiiu, but E3 was still solid this year.
virtual boy.
game boy micro.
ROB.
E-reader cards.
gba/game cube connectivity.
Microsoft, where is my f***ing crackdown 3?
Make it an actual sequel this time.
Yes, but can we find a multiplayer game that plays better?
Most likely, but I will reserve judgement.
