Copied?
CoD and almost all modern console shooters owe their existence to Halo.
I like Killzone 2.
I think that was massively under-appreciated.
The thing is, it's hard for me to compare KZ2 and Halo 3 becasue their styles are so intentionally different. KZ being class warfare and Halo being this battle sandbox with all these toys.
two trolls in a week, i bet you think that's pretty clever, don't you boy?
Wow, the single player actually sounds awesome.
Why didn't you show any of this MS?
Why?
Well some of the prime games definitely took a page out of Halo's book, and it worked out fine. It only makes sense that 343 return the favour.
Also, there are retro studios veterans at 343.
WiiU could be the new dreamcast or saturn.
Except it's worse this time because they showed poorly. At least Dreamcast was awesome before sony overtook them and drained momentum. Wiiu is starting out with barely any. The mainstream audience that got the wii are confused as to what the wiiu is.
Nintendoland is clearly aiming to be the next wii sports, but the controller is way more complicated, and on top of that, the whole asynchronous philosophy of the sy...
With the same characters all the time.
Like Gerstmann said, Sony honestly has the chance to get weird and give us a bunch of characters we don't get.
Well they really could, honestly. Between Rare and Twisted pixel they'd have some characters. Then obviously cheif and marcus and other people from those universes. Jason from shadow complex, Tim from Braid, and hell from the several third party friends, they could do it.
But why?
Halo multiplayer is looking way faster and sleeker.
Considering the COD climate of games now, I was worried about Halo adapting. Looks they're on the right track.
Skyward sword same as twilight princess, twilight proncess same as majora, majora same as Ocarina.
God of wars, all the same.
I can be reductive too.
My game of the show is Halo 4.
I feel Last of Us is a great choice though.
I think the violence made it tense. I love gears of war, but the violence is clearly exaggerated as Epic has admitted. Last of Us creates violence that is trying to transcend the desensitized nature of videogames, it's working too.
I agree with assassin.
Honestly Far cry 3's co-op looked uninteresting.
ZombiU while interesting, isn't really blowing me away.
But Last of Us looked amazing.
Looks like it.
They would have to really just f*** everything up in the crunch before release.
This was one of my games of the show, because I was convinced to make sure I have this game by all the coverage and the footage of zer0.
That damn pitchford, really sold me.
The party analogy was used to great effect in this article.
Damn, seriously EA?
I remember when EA wasn't hated because of the risks they started to take with dead space, mirror's edge and their partner's program. Ea was actually turning it around 3-5 years ago.
But man, the last 2 years have really shown that EA are back to their old ways again.
Well naughty dog would write a great story, and then kojima would make it as incomprehensible as possible.
Overkill, this is a bad move.
505 is comprised of bad feels.
There's no doubt they took so inspiration from COD, with loadouts but the way they're incorporating them and the ways they are tooling around with formula are (or seemingly) modernizing halo in a way the souless Reach didn't.
