So it's settled this, killzone and soundshapes (which I can now get finally and experience all the beck). Wont be able to play till early december, but anticipation is half the fun.

metacritic user score means absolutely nothing. But critic fatigue is definitely palpable in these reviews.

I should hope so, it's a generation leap.

so is no one going to actually watch the video? Some of you are sounding like giant n4g stereotypes.

@enemy

In fact, the question is not even posed by ign. It was a reader question. Further more, the spend the video explaining why sony is about to bring it this gen. I wonder if people actually even watched the video.

I don't know why some people hear are taking the question so personally. It's a good question to ask at this point. We're heading into a new gen and playstation has reached some impressive highs, so naturally the question of whether the gravy train can continue is fair. I feel like some of you are missing the point a little.

I've made the tough but responsible decision to pickup my PS4 and killzone and lock both of them up for 2 weeks while I do my mid-terms. It's gonna be brutal, but the pay off will be worth it.

Paid my ps4 and killzone off in full yesterday.

I'm all in, and ready to make the generation leap.

I was waiting for the early access version forever. It doesn't disappoint. One of the most mechanically satisfying games of 2013 without question.

Haha, don't be foolish. Truthfully we all know sony had a tough start this gen, and an uphill climb since. Looking for to the PS4 tho. Almost less than a month away, where does the time go?

It's been out for a day. How about we accept the very real fact that online games almost always have rough starts. Compound that with the fact that it's the biggest game of the year trying some fundamentally ambitious things, I think it would be wise to just but GTAO on the back burner until the weekend.

The mechanics are the best they have ever been. The writing and satire is the best it's ever been. The world is as detailed as it's ever been, and there's an entire second game's worth of content in the soon to be released multiplayer. Take it from A R* cynic, it deserves the highest score possible.

Gotta say GTAV is one of the best open world games this gen for sure.

I was a skeptical as you can get. 3 hours in, and i cant believe the game managed to live up to the hype.

I've been burned to many times by R*. RDR, GTAIV LA, Noire all good games but all monstrously overhyped and all had the fundemental problem of stilted, clunky mechanics. With next-gen around the corner, I think I'm gonna sit this one out. I hope it is a great game that proves me wrong.

Indies are blowing up because there's a perfect storm for them to do so. Gone are the era of mid tier games and developers. THQ and others like it are gone; The days of Stranglehold, Enslaved, prototype are finished. The mobile market is drying up. More indies are moving out of the mobile space and headed for a giant hunk of land evacuated by the b-tier for a fraction of the cost and triple the quality, diversity and novelty.

Finally, triple a games have become somewhat h...
