The only thing about this idea, is that this happened last generation launch. When the ps3|wii launch, The 360 had gears, viva pinata and oblivion. Yet again, washed up drunk of a basketball game NBA Live comes back again only to pass out in its own vomit, smh. I used to love these games like 10 years ago but damn they have fallen on some hard times.
My mom and her friend, who have the loosest grasp of games were just talking to me about it. I don't know if Sony can keep this momentum going into feburary march and the rest of the dry months after launch, but 1 million in a day, in a single territory is a staggering feet.

I don't know how you can look at Battlefield 4 and Need For Speed and still say that to be honest.

Dude, I feel you. I was a xbox-only gamer for 7 years. So when people talk about hardware failures like they're new magic things, i think about how delusion these fanboys have to be considering the 360s monster failure rate. I got a PS4, haven't played any games yet, but am excited in this zeitgeist after watchin from over the fence for so many years.
let me put this in perspective, the PS4 has done more than 2x the Wiiu's first week sales in a day (which is actually really good ostensibly). And we know games are third party,first party and exclusive are coming as earlier as winter next year. The Wiiu didn't get any thing to until pikmin 3 arguably. No games, things dried up on the wiiu for a while. Don't think that'll be the case for the ps4.

Some machines have failed which is unfortunate. But how is that different from literally any other system launch? As for a library, the thing is less than 3 days old, give it a break. The exclusive titles aren't as strong as one would hope, but hey man launch games.

Yes, I would agree somewhat or mostly even. My only problem is does it really matter that much? Once people are done with SM3W, the wiiu is gonna lay dormant for the next game. Granted while DK,MK and Smash Bros. are coming out next year, how many third party games are gonna come out to keep the tide going? One thing about the wiiu at least is that there is some indie support which is more than the XB1 can say, but the PS4`s number of indies dwarfs the wiiu.
