I got a PS4 at launch because I bought the Playstation promise in February and June. But also, there are a ton of indie games coming between now and infamous. This year I have spent more time in playing addictive smaller steam games than on my 360 (35 hours in mercenary kings alone). So the PS4 kills two stones for me. I only got a laptop and it struggles even to play smaller indie games like rogue legacy and has hang ups in Hotline Miami. Well, with all the indies coming to PS4 in the winter...

The hdd analysis sounds very, very plausible really.
Damn scum. people earn their money to get a console jacked by awful excuses for humans. Hope the thief gets his due, and the owner gets their PS4 back or something to alleviate the situation.
To put it into perspective.
For every 100 PS4s, 2.5 ps4s will have problems, if they ship 5 million. But who knows how it will all shake out. and again, if .4% is there estimate, that's pretty amazing considering the 360s fail estimate was 35%+ and the PS4s was 10%+ in there early years.
You don't even know how much they shipped. I'm not sure you understand the ratio of .4% to likely millions of shipped PS4s. That said my PS4 saw no problems when I set it up. Hopefully it stays that way.
Is it just me, or does there seem to be a link between amazon and faulty ps4 consoles. Overwhelming, the unfortunate stories of faulty consoles seem to involve that they came from amazon. I'm not sure whether it is the ubiquity of amazon as preferred retailer by many people, their poor handling and packing processes, or bricking ps4 consoles inherently taking there course.

At the end of the day, this is a lunch period. You know what you're signing up for to some degree should issues persist. Some consoles will fail, that is an undeniable fact unfortunately and expecting anything else is simply delusional. Luckily some of these issue seem to have fixes. Just wrapping up setting up my ps4. I can't believe I'm looking at it, I felt like the day would never come. Sure I can't play it for a while after I set it up but I can't wait.
flower on ps4 is double the framerate, and running at 1080p native. People who have played it also say the controls are way better and the it has increased detail in physics.

I'm already out $500, I'm gonna go with a safe bet. Better safe than sorry, especially when I already had suspicions in the back of my mind. I was hoping shadowfall would overcome them, but i'm hearing a general conformation among critics. Personally, I have great trust in some critics, and I'm not gonna belligerently buy a game and not heed the advice. I've learend that lesson a ton this generation.

It's not so much that I'm being snobbish. It's just that, Idk man no one has even seen screens of the 360 version. Can the 360 even handle the mutliplayer/single player structure they are proposing? It might be a current gen watch dogs situation where we never saw anything. But back on topic, between Wiiu and 3ds this november, you'd be playing some of the best games of 2013.
