I wonder if guys like you dogged LAIR and it's fans when they stated the similar things you're stating now about AC.
Driver 1&2 were heavy hitters in their own right but then the developers ignored this and kept trying to make the series a GTA clone type thing.
This franchise didn't deserve to be put in the labled barrel of GTA clones. It was a solid franchise in it's own right.
Argh!!! I jsut get soooooo mad when I think about it.
I'm not sure about this but I think Ubisoft attained the Driver series from them earlier this year.
I do think this one is a much better experience than the first but since it's by Ubisoft I definitly won't be buying it.
Just like they thought Heavenly Sword (8.0) was only marginably better than Conan (7.5)
These Editorial reviews and reviewers just take the gaming community to be fools and sheep and I can't say I'd argue much with that. They know they've got most of the community by the balls and they can say what ever they like and it doesn't have to be factual.
So much for the PS3 being a flop and dead uh?
Look out! It's One bubble man!!!
This is exactly what LAIR fans have been saying for the longest. I don't know when these ridiculous reviews will stop - if ever, but I am throughly tired of it.
These edotorial gaming sites just see the community as puppets. If a competing forum is getting more hits on their website they jsut throw some contraversy like "MGS 4, pretty but boring 3.5/10" and they instantly get flooded with hits from gamers flocking in their trying to voice their opinions on the review....
Now had AC implemented gamplay that was radically new like heavy motion sensing control gameplay, it probably would have gotten it's fair share of 2.5s
It's a shame how these trully next gen titles (current gen) that introduce new takes on gameplay are being shot to hell by reviewers. They cry for new and innovative and want new stuff but they contradict themsleves by giving 4s and 5s to these types of great new games but embrass & hand out 10s to old gameplay mechanics lik...
R:fom already sold over 2mill units in June. 0.o
In life time sales, R:fom is set to have a target of 6mill units sold.
Also, R&C:ToD is most certainly surpassing the 2mill sold mark in it's life's span (roughly 6 yrs.)- easily.
It's been announced a couple of months ago. The site's info wasn't up to date that's all.
Should be "JUMP OFF" tehehe XD
Yes the PS3 needs to and will do incredibly well next year. It's been the same pattern with the PS1&2 that the 2nd year seriously out paces the 1st year but 2008 it not crucial as you put it.
If we go by what Sony's consoles have done in the past we can clearly see that 2010 is in line for when we should expect to see the PS3 surmount an overwhelming lead and carry through to 2012/2013.
It very funny how PS3 forums every where were flooded with doom 'n gloom ...
Look, Console gamrs have a different mentality to PC gamers. We enjoy a different 'flow' to games. That's why when I hear crap like "if you want to play an RTS, play it on a PC it's the best way to go" I jsut laugh.
Sole Console gamers don't want to PC game, they want to console game so the mechanics that suit PC games just wouldn't work for console gamers cause our flow is different.
It's great that Sid recognised this and is making the appropriate ste...
.. this craze aroundthe gmaing community in regards to Miss Raymond. I mean she's not ugly but I just don't understand the erotic fasination nerds have unashamably drooled over her.
I completely agree with Ubisoft on this matter. Things have gotten way out of hand with this crazy fixation the gaming community and media created out of nowhere.
However, I do also blame Ubisoft for this too though cause it was obivous they used her popularity with this fixation to h...
How can you give it a 9 when you haven't even played it?
It was actually a 4 year gap between the release of the xbox & that of the 360. The GC & wii was a 5 year gap and the PS2 & PS3 was 6 year gap.
I do believe the gap btw the PS3 & PS4 will most likely be 7 years.
-.- That's frikgen ridiculous.
I had thought this was the case and was heckled by some idiot on a forum about it when I said it was probably jsut over kill on dust but I never thought I'd see anything quite like this.
And this guy had the nerve to moan and complain that Sony wasn't doing right by him? Wow. I don't think the guy should be allowed to own ANY electronic product ever. There should be a world wide bann on his butt.
This would be a great way of enabling gamers again to help each other out. WE play demos and discuss them in forums and then discuss final release of the game.
I've been pushing for something similar with URB feature in HOME for the PS3 but I do belive all consoles should have some form of allowing us gamers to help each other out with info etc.
It's also a glitch fest so be warned. Editorial reveiws just don't care to make any kind of sense anymore and if gamers can't see that reviews are run by PR groups now then we've really become blind dumbass sheep.
How a site like gamespot can give LAIR a 4.5 (poor) with their major issue with it being irresponsive controlls - which is highly debateable seein a majority of gamers that played LAIR didn't find the controlls such a hinderance - but give a game like Assasin's Creed ...
