NO, SOCOM isn't about camping like in COD. You can't really see or feel it from vids like this but, atleast in Classic mode, camping isn't going to great for you in SOCOM if you're used to doing it in MW type games.
There are many ways to play the game depending on your style and yes, you'll get those that will camp but the best SOCOM gamers strategically move through the map. That is, you move-stop-survey, move-stop-survey, move-stop-survey.

Yeah he's right. People love COD and as painfull as that is to me, hey, it's what people love so it's all good. COD isn't a bad game. It's fun and the fans aren't really concerned with it's lack of proper progression but rather that they get the samey type game with each sequel and they're fine with that.

Great to see Classic mode in action. This gives me some relief a bit that it's not totally gone the COD route.
Now I'm hoping the life bar changes colour like in previous SOCOMs where it goes green, yellow, red. That really added to the suspense when you're the last one standing with 3 more enemies on the map and you're in the red lol

I rag on Editorial gaming reviews a lot but I have to say, thank you to them on this one. Had they been their normal selfish ad hungry, fanboy hating selves on this game and given it 6s & 7s (which they so easily could have), QD, gamers and the progression of VG entertainment would all have been royally F*ed!
