.. trying to take a warning "how not to proceed on your 3rd try" guide from Sega but flirting with succeeding where the 3DO failed by tryin to do the same thing the 3DO did? Wow, this is very very risky stuff for MS.
Taking any page from past failures just can't be a smart move IMO but we'll see.
This game's not out yet so how did it get approved?
... but did it have my arse rolling on the floor or what?! LOL! Bad reveiw skit for N4G forums but exceptional comic relif none-the-less.
wow, really? Some EMO reviewer dude is a god to you? Wow, your world must be one hell of a strange place my friend. I'm seriously hoping that was a typo and you meant to write "... good" instead.
That is looking good. Gosh, RTSs feel sooooooo good and this one looks like it'll be a good one.
Very cool stuff.
Sweet read. It's nice to read blogs that, even though one may not agree with the comments, stimulate some sort of intellectual thought on matters of surrounding the industry.
Super Mario Galaxy II, Mario Bowling: The Luigi Edition, Mario Final Fantasy (RPG) and Mario home decoration party planner: The mini super games edition. Now let's move on shall we.
..what exactly have they innovated lately? A wii-mote? Sure they came out with it first and had a great idea they implemented (that is eyt to show it's better or on par with a control pad or even K/M) but the technology for the thing is last gen.
The wii-mote could be done in the PS2 or Xbox. This gen, every single thing Nintendo has done could have been done on last gen machines. Not one single game this gen displays attributes that could never have been accomplished with last...
Articles like this just seem so lame and illinformed it's almost laughable but I find it disgusting how editorial gaming sites have turned the gaming media into cheap & pathetic tabloid type journalism.
Writing up any type of drible for the sole purpose of getting traffic to their respective websites. It's sad how the gaming media have lowered themselves to this level in what seems like over night.

Not quite sure of your story. Though I enjoyed the read, it seems like you just threw in Gears of War to appease some people so you don't come across as a "fanboy" or something.
I say this cause Gears of War's story wasn't something of high quality (though it was decent) but it seems you're piting it with the likes of MGS4 which, to me, seems rather bizare.
..and all I can say is they likely went very easy on it in reviews cause of who made the game. Maybe in the hopes that maybe Directors like him in his industry may see the gaming industry as a potential medium to branch out in and thus create a larger base for gaming in general.
Honestly I can't BS myself. This game is like all the other 3rd party mini games stuff for the wii. Playing Jinga virtually isn't as uber as editorial reviewers lead you to believe it is.
Not bad for a console that was labeled "Doomed!" and a failure just a year ago. :)
I hate people using that site as a viable source for data info.
It's gotten so bad that there are people who actually think they're better and more accurate than the likes of NPD which does this professionally for companies on data for anything from toothpaste to military electronics. Crazy!
To me, the graphics and sound were not bad. I'd say acceptable; between fair & average. Did you read the actual segments or did you just look at the ratings? Just wondering, not busting nuts or anything.
Yes, they were nothing to write home about and presented ok to what we've come to know as great for last gen gaming but that doesn't mean they were bad.
It already is. Weather some individuals choose to see it at that is really irrelevant. A car doesn't cease to be a car cause some people don't want to call it a car.
There are some individuals in our world that love to feel they're in some way more highy cultured and civilized than others - in leaps and bounds - and love to try to prove it all the time. Most of these people who jump at the chance to discredit anything as Art usually aren't really aware of the concept of what Ar...
I whole heartedly agree with your blog comment.
I really think the awesomeness of MGS4 made them lose their sanity for a split second so expect the score to be changed later this evening with gs putting out a statement that it was a glitch in their system and a full page from some supervisory editor explain how they've been working hard at keep their editorial integrety at the highest standard just for the community they so love.
Great read of a review. It's good to read reviews that are cohesive in nature and I enjoyed it. However, I must say the option to detail alot of the game and present a "Spoilers there-in" scenerio really does take away from the quality of the review as this one has a very nice quality to it.
I think a great review is one that can convey the general feel of how the game influenced the reviewer without detailing such intricate elements about the plot of the game.
