These days, when buying a gaming machine (PC or console), you get what you pay for. So, of course an $800 to $1,000 PC is going to be the better machine.
Funny how one game in particular on the PS3 was a QTE game and was critically acclaimed... Oh wait... it's because the Strip Scene was QTE. With out that, it wouldn't have been as great. :/
Actually I was more shocked at the 25-day build time. For that much money, I'd expect it to be same-day or next-day built.
If they can't do that, I'd rather build it myself. Besides, that's most of the fun about buying a custom PC!!!
Remember, concurrent users for consoles means that all they have to do is turn on their console while being connected to the Internet.
Basically any PC can at least play games from Steam...
There are some games so simplistic in graphics, a 10+ year old computer should be able to handle it.

Did you ever read the reasons as to why Nvidia passed on the deals for PS4 and Xbox One?
They had been burnt too much by either losing money or not making it worth their money in prior consoles that used Nvidia GPUs; the original Xbox and the PS3.
I honestly gave Bully a try... I didn't care for it.

More money will be made if they can continue doing what they've done this generation.
Besides, AMD is already 2 or 3 generations ahead for GPU processing power.

Star Citizen is being developed by the guy was responsible for the most enjoyable space-flight games to date; Wing Commander, Privateer, and Freelancer.
