DC has just as many properties that could have a wonderful world built around, all it takes is the right team. Superman for example, he can benchpress a planet, fly, blast lasers from his eyes, blow ice from his mouth, run really fast & has countless enemies that you can build a story around- it's astonishing that no one can design an open world game for him. Scope too large? Make it an origin/early days story where he can barely fly, or do something involving the sun or another krypt...
It's funny that I can count all the big budget AAA comic book based games made in the past 5 years in a single hand.
Wow, downvoted for simplifying an article. Damn this community sucks. Love the format, the people are such fanboys. Can't people be fans without boys? I've owned every PlayStation, last fortnight traded my PS4 in for the PS4 Pro, bought and completed Spiderman this weekend, my phone is a Sony Xperia XZ Premium, I bought a Sony headset for work- I love Sony products, I especially love their exclusive games-
but I'm not blind, I won't attack someone who disagr...
You're absolutely right, this is a well-known fact- shouldn't a large technology company be more prepared for this to prevent the inevitable complaints from people who simply don't understand technology?
I doubt the Switch will have the same longevity. They launched in the middle of this gen, another 2-3 years will see the next PS & Xbox & that will see the Switch's sales flatline, only seeing bumps of life for the inevitable Mario, Zelda & maybe Pokemon sequels, remakes, reboots & spin-offs. That said, Nintendo could also react by suddenly cutting their price steeply enough to target it as the next Gameboy- a cheap portable console everyone can own, mostly for Pokemon &am...
You say that but I'm only hearing a handful on critics, the vast majority are Sony fans attacking the critics.
I actually appreciate the critics, they got the developers themselves to confirm there was no downgrade despite the second image looking clearly much less detailed. The repositioned sun explained that straight away(less shadows/reflections, etc).
Wow, the tin foil hats sure are tight on this site.
Complacency is the patient killer. Too big to fail just doesn't exist. Not saying xplay will end Sony's dominance but next gen is a mostly fresh slate & if Sony is the only major player not supporting xplay (not that Microsoft & Nintendo are all in either at the point), well it'd put Sony at a disadvantage when the casual gamers are trying to work out how they're going to play FIFA 2099, Cod MW8 & FORTNITE2 with their mates.
Sony's first part...
That's one of the only logical points I've seen here against xplay. But there's always ways around that. Console only lobbies for example.
In the long term, I'd be more interested in xplay to prevent or at least slow down ghost lobbies. I really enjoyed AvP on the PS3 for example but after the first few months, could never find a game again.
The PS4 is popular so major releases will take time to run into these issues but it is inevitable ...
They do, Bethesda's issue was an unauthorised 3rd party listing their game as brand new on Amazan despite Bethesda being unable to cover the warranty like a true brand new game from an authorised reseller.
I don't mind people getting pissy about stuff like this but at least know what you're getting pissy about first.
What I find more interesting is the anti-consumer approach consumers are taking to xplay. The first thing you say on this site...
Seems that you have never heard of the public domain?
Granted none of these roms were likely old enough to qualify. Either way, it's all arbitrary dates decided upon by faceless politicians based on their own personal(biased) morals. Just look at Steamboat Willie, all politicians agree that is should enter the public domain- but due to Disney's constant pressure, infinitely delay it.
I'm just glad we're no longer paying royalties for the w...
Well, maybe a Spider-verse. Keeping 2 seperate, but popular franchises going but on the same IP can only help the other. I wouldn't mind a Venom game.
If 90% of consumers play on PS4 then logically roughly 90% will purchase the content on PS4. The only real outliers come down to special deals their competition offers but nothing is stopping Sony from offering their own deals.
Big picture there's very little to lose by xplay, but there's also not that much to gain by the manufacturers which is why they've been grinding their feet for so long but whoever does go all out puts their competition on an interesting p...
It's not relevant because it is history. No one has truly embraced crossplay but I will applaud whoever puts their hand up first & right now it seems Microsoft is slowly raising theirs but if Sony beats them to the punch, all the better -
most my mates own PS4s so it'd be nice to play with them without plugging mine back in, I'm too ingrained with my Desktop & laptop.
Just because I am interested in Microsoft's supposed interest, doesn'...
I'd like to see one major player make a point about crossplay. Microsoft is showing some encouraging signs with their own exclusives but to actually open the floodgates & announce that all future XB1 games will be xplay enabled (if the publisher/developer chooses to implement it).
I can only see it as a win-win-win for the manufacturer, publisher & consumer. Sony may not benefit as much but I'm sure they could work out fair ways to slice the cake (their majo...
Good sign for us non-Switch players, hopefully, it means a better core game now that they don't have to cater to a scaled down experience.
I disagree, outrage does make a difference, we've already seen that passive aggressive xplay ad for Minecraft- the more pressure surrounding xplay the better.
It's pro-consumer, being able to play with all your mates without restricting your choices. It will impact the business if either Sony or MS truly commit to xplay but it won't necessarily be negative - there are other considerations when purchasing a console & software.
Never really used the gadgets. Swinging dropkicks & stealth were too over powered to require them in my playthrough.
