The team was working 100 hour weeks, to me that means that the studio itself was operating well beyond its standard hours, not necessarily individuals themselves (although there is no doubt that plenty of overtime was offered). Granted there are people willing to work 14 hours a day, every day.
Not really, few games really benefit from the 8 threads, let alone 12. An i5 would do just as well but I wouldn't have saved much so why bother?
The 1060 was what I was after in a laptop, will play most games very high/ultra at 1080p right now and should be reasonable enough for medium settings going in for the next several years.
FYI, anyone facing oddly low FPS, as if the game was running in slomo, check your gpu settings (nvidia control panel for example) & make sure it's running off your dedicated graphics, not the integrated.
Found this out myself the hard way when I was getting 6-7fps on my 12 thread i7 CPU, gtx 1060 laptop - by default it chose to run the graphics side of the game on Intel hd graphics.
It's not about using kb&m on a crossplay lobby, it's about tricking the game into thinking you are using a controller so you retain aim assist, the accuracy of a mouse and remain on console only lobbies.
You're using unsupported hardware to gain an advantage. Surely any right minded person would expect that.
Granted I do believe consoles should support kb&m.
No matter what action is taken, it can be considered as pandering to one crowd or another. A real minefield, can't do anything without claims of SJWs or Bigots
I actually enjoyed some of the games that forced in MP. Some of the Assassins Creed for example, wasn't necessary but I enjoyed it for a time.

The issue with your metaphor is that many games are treated as services whereas you describe a product(the already prepared burger). Games have been treated as services since before I can remember, it just didn't mean much until people started to realise that they weren't getting the full package- that MP servers don't last forever, that content can be expanded after release. It's not all negative, but it can't be practically compared with a burger.
People buy their games because they enjoy them, maybe you've heard of Skyrim & Fallout 4? It's impossible for all developers to reach the same amount of polish when their games are so mechanically, technically, visually and practically different. It's easy to say they should do X because Y but it doesn't work with that, they have different resources, budgets, ideals and so many other underlying factors that no 2 developers should be held to the same standards.

I actually don't think most reasonable people are offending when someone of another ethnicity plays a certain character, so long as they can play it well. I think what actually insults people is when they make a decision based on what the person is not, in this case, it appears they're going out of their way to not pick a white female.

Well I'd hope it's more consistent than my laptop. Got a powerful one, runs mostly fine at high/very high, rarely ever a frame drop, then outta nowhere it decides to crash so hard that I can't event ctrl+alt+del outta the game.
Can still navigate through the games menus somehow though but the game play itself freezes and the menus are mostly black. Ultimately all I can do is press the power button for 10 seconds.

Don't think it'll matter either way, except for a neighbourhood or 2, GTAV's map felt nothing like SA's.

Not that I'm mad in this case & the pressure certainly helps, I want to see Bethesda enable crossplay for 76 so I can play with my mates who play Xbox but I'm also pragmatic and understand that such a change isn't possible this close to launching a new AAA game, not without stalling the release, pissing off shareholders, and other financial burdens.

Well aware Hines already announced that it's not currently on their radar but I hope that changes. I get it that their teams have other priorities right now, making big changes to a game a couple months before it's release is simply impractical, but their biggest hurdl...
That doesn't mean that everyone has poor internet. I finally got NBN and even before that, my ADSL was at least good enough to download a game even if it took a while.
