RE5 and SFHD/SFIV
Both of these games came out within two weeks of KZ2, which ate deeply into gamers wallets. Both of these games have deep fan bases and are considered a sure bet. KZ on the other hand hasn't had a game on the market in over 5 years, and that one is often overlooked due to it's sales. KZ3 will sale even more than KZ2 due to the momentum recently built up by KZ2 and the fact that gamers now know what to expect from a GG.
So in the mean time might I su...
Due to XNA (whatever the game dev SDK is called) being a free development kit, he likely used that to make the game. But since he originally wanted it to be on Sony anyway, just showed it to them to prove that he had a workable game in development. Then they kindly handed him a copy of Phyre Engine to port and finish it up.
And now you know the rest of the story.
can't wait till it's official... and I get a second TV first.
1. a good flight stick
2. a light gun similar to what the Sega master system and the NES had
Otherwise, the only other thing I'd like is a motion simulator chair like those used for 'After Burner' in the arcades. But that's not an input device but an output one.
As for a Wii like controller. meh.
Plus they are likely being doped up with stimulants to increase their combat abilities.
Also, I find it interesting that the most memorable char in the Killzone story, is the lowly Helgast foot solder. Not some war vet, not a super being, or even a hot chick in skimpy clothing. No, just an ordinary Joe with glowing eyes that simply says....

..."SHOOT ME PLEASE!!!!"
Phyre Engine is free. You just have to fill out some forms and agree to a NDA and to make your games exclusive to Sony. That's the route I'm looking into.
At least that's what the voices keep telling me.
Yea, it is true that many games are leaving us with faceless wonders these days. There just isn't any focus on char development. Some games like MGS4 have deep... abyss deep... story lines, but not much on individual char development. Which is something that you would expect an RPG to be great at, yet non have stepped up to the challenge.
I see this as a win win situation. Now 3d party devs have no excuse not to deliver the goods on any system... Wii being the exception but it can't be helped. This also frees Devs up to focus on games and not tech demos. So more games are a coming... Yeaaaaaa!!!!!
Now you got that stupid song stuck in my head.... round and round... now I'm getting dizzy.
... only if ISP drop their bandwidth caps. Fat chance of that happening anytime soon. lolololololololololol
If you ever wanted to make your own Playstation game, this year is your year. Between Phyre Engine, Nocturnal, and Sony lowering the cost of becoming a Dev to $2000; Inde game designers have no more excuses.
Too bad we gamers will soon be surrounded with PS3 games like Kratos on on a Titans back.
Now I'm gonna have to go back and play it from the beginning, cause I obviously missed something... something good and dirty.
Yea, it's a shame the spin gaming is getting these days... and tragic that people can be so neglected by their parents that they have to turn to violence just to get attention.
Good thing Home is free!!!
Man, this month has seen WH space, RE space, Xi, and now GH!!!!!!
I'm scared to see what else comes to Home next month... but I'm sure I'll find a way to overcome my Home-a-phobia.
Playstation blog just posted info about Guitar Hero space for PSHome. You can even win prizes.
Let the Good Times Roll!!!

From now on they will just have new DLC available at the beginning of each season.
I've been meaning to check this one out but keep getting side tracked by a lot of the video media I've been streaming. Thanks for the reminder... now I just need a second tv and PS3 so I can game, stream, can surf all at the same time.
They should have started with the 360 and then moved up to the PS3. Seeing as every thing the 360 can do (regarding those things mentioned in this article), the PS3 can do more of/or better. But of coarse, to write the review that way would have openly painted the 360 as an inferior product, so we have to congratulate them on keeping face with the bank account.
I noticed that he also didn't mention browser based services, which is one of the great things about the PS3. I've found...
This system is at least a decade away from replacing home consoles due to the large number of graphics cards and servers needed. WoW and Eve Online have a large number of servers in a room that requires massive amounts of AC just to keep em cool. If they where to also add in enough Graphics cards to render the view for every player, they would require 100-1000+ times as much in resources.
Think about it, for every 100,000 players connected at the same time they will need not only...
Today when you play a MMO game that uses centralized servers, it works basically the same why as Onlive.
1. You press a button
2. your console/pc sends INPUT INFO to server
3. server processes INPUT INFO from all players
4. server sends updated POSITION INFO to all players
5. your console/pc updates the POSITION INFO of all players
6. your console/pc renders the scene
7. then it displays it on your tv/monitor
8. repeat

Do these numbers include the systems imported from Korea?
As mentioned in another article, Korea has been wiped out thanks to gamers importing PS3's into Japan.
