Well, this is EA - how many studios have they wrecked because of their greed and forcing games to be released early, lying about stuff and generally mucking stuff up?
They have been most awesome with their DLC components, and really, that's what it should be. But either way, pay for it or not, DLC should be additions and not stuff to fill out a "crippled" title. DLC Quest highlights that so wonderfully :)
I've never played Skyrim, so I'm missing what they did there, but the DLC for both F3 and F:NV were generally amazing additions with new content and updates.
My personal favourite DLC's between those two were: Broken Steel, OWB and Dead Money. Honest Hearts was also great, but more for visual aesthetics rather than gameplay.
Which reminds me... I haven't played the Pitt...
Yohyohyoh! Next week is going to be fun! I like the attention given to low INT characters, that ought to be fun.
The dialogue thing, thats cool, I always thought that was a bit wonko that you could explore every tree. Sometimes to you had to to keep track of info though. Hopefully they have a dialogue log, which you can review if need be for info...
Chance-based mechanics means some "luck" is involved. As said earlier, you can stack the odds in your favour, but there is still a bit of randomness
Good choices! - I've got me Dead Pixels 2 to go and mash my way through zombie hordes, a great game made to look all 16-bit retro. Even the first Dead Pixels is an awesome little co-op game, and its super-cheap. Think Left4Dead if it came out on a NES or Sega Genesis...
I don't know - I'm very shy of this franchise at the moment - I'll let it stew for a bit. Unity broke me...
I Love this game! great for a quick casual jam when I'm feeling down. Go ZA developers!
Well it sort of is, but its going through it's growing up period - I'm just surprised this phase wasn't looked at earlier in the evolution to where it is today...
It's about time. Good for them, starting with the testing procedure!
Game is stupidly addictive, and apparently it will be receiving support for some time to come, due to its popularity :)
So many of games to play, soo little time... :(
Wasn't this already around in the XP days? I rememeber something about turning on alot of options to do stuff with/to...
Also, obligatory image attached:
I've seen it in very real-world circumstances. Guys meet online, become friends, meet up at a LAN party, have stayed friends since. I've also seen couples get hitched because of gaming, both online and through LAN parties.
So yes - friendship IS magic!
I'm just happy this is turning into something sporty. GG all round!
Ah! but remember young padawan - this IS your favourite OS manufacturer you're talking about...
Good to know - While not an XBox owner myself, could be a good incentive to get one now...
Who knows, I might be doing a follow-up article on that next week :)
I haven't played enough to get alien anything - I'm still a bit confused after rescuing Valentine - why am I taking him To Diamond city - considering the nature of the ... you know... the thing...
