After Zubayr told me that it existed, i downloaded the game, and have had hours of fun jamming this! So many fond memories playing this, absolutely LOVE IT!!
I'd have rated it higher though, but possibly thats the nostalgia talking...
I remember these things as being old when i first climbed into that - me, i was a c64 and BBC Master kid.

Stupid dumb thing that has happened. A gun is a powerful device, and seriously, it has to be put into the context of what it truly is, what it is capable of doing. Videogames too. This responsibility has to fall to the parents or guardians of said child.
Load gun when needed, play GTA only when contextualized by parents or guardian, keep gun away from kids.
By contextualization, I mean show kid gun, let kid handle gun (unloaded), explain whygun is dangerous,...

Seriously, why is the US taken seriously anymore with regarding to these stances? The only reason anyone takes them seriously still is that they are the largest consumers of these products.
Women do serve as frontline troops in various armies around the world, whats the problem with including them in the game? Its done in other games already anyways, why the big issue about it now, other than the guys finally getting their fingers out and actually updating their engine for a change?
