I played D3 a bit. As far as visuals were concerned, it was a stunning game, beautiful, visceral. But I just couldn't get into it. Will Reapers bring me back, I doubt it. One of the things I'd look forward to, if it ever were to be implemented would be offline mode, but seems to be the realm on consoles now - I won't be re-buying the game for that option, even if offline exists there and not on PC...
I still want to play the last of us. I just can't find my copy...
I still preferred the 4d racing stuff quite frankly...
BF4 is, from a multiplayer perspective, a substantial improvement over its predecessor, whereas CoD Ghosts, feels more like a couple of steps back in terms of gameplay in some respects...
IMHO, YMMV
The record-breaking is one thing, but as noted in some other articles, this franchise is being compared to the Madden series - no matter what people say, a new version will be out the next year, with a new coat of paint; it doesn't matter that the title needs to be taken in for an overhaul at best, or taken out back behind the shed and shot at worst...
I had a go at multiplayer last night, and I was disappointed. The levels I had seen are uninspired, gameplay is what is to be expected from CoD but still nothing specifically awe-inspiring or groundbreaking. That being said, looking at BF4 as an incremental improvement over BF3, there is a significant and positive difference, whereas with this CoD, it feels like it has gone backwards somewhat...
Everything about that screams at me that something is wrong. Like a thousand voices suddenly cry in alarm and were suddenly silenced...
hmm, how about their PS3 /4 variant? Looks sexy though!
New engine, dogs and girls,ha! try securing your code you lazy sods and build something robust for a change
it makes you feel - like a prince/princess; powerful; in control; like you're a winner; that you can cope; that you're making a visible, measurable difference; liek you're being someone or something that you normally could not be.
All these and more.
Thanks Fallout Series and EVE Online!
I'vr always heard of the good storytelling of the call of duty series, but to date, i have never finished the SP part of any of them. One thing to get through maybe over Christmas...
Early access is a method whereby devs can get their thing out - I'm not happy with the pricing they sometimes throw out, like with Planetary Annihilation, but hey, its their thing to do.
would be interesting to measure it just on the relevant consoles, but a pound-for-pound total sales, yes it will more than likely smash any previous records so far
Time will tell... Sooner or later, time will tell...
(see what i did there?)
there's a point when any publicity is good, even if it's bad...
biofeedback is something that can be really cool to implement, eventually in command and control systems. Imagine ebing able, as the pilot of an ariplane, to "feel" the systems rather than relying on a status readout. Your "wing" feels achy becuase it needs some panelling replaced; your "left" engine feels off becuase of an oil-pressure drop. Thats far down the way, but a real interesting manner of interfacing with the machine...
we'll be ready!
Sex sells. It sold portraits, cameras, video cassette recorders, home movie equipment and much, much more. Why should the future be any different?
Looks like it could be a winner. So many of interesting and good games coming through these days, I can't keep up anymore!
Looks like a stunning title! I loved playing games of this calibre years ago, will be fun to try it again!
