I partially agree, but then again while machines have become more integrated and easier to use and assemble, it is still a problem from the point of view of getting around to assemble them. I'm more inclined to think that due to the fact that machines have become cheaper as well motivates people to assemble their own, or at the very least, upgrade or modify whatever they bought in a regular shop. I'm not sure how markets overseas worked with pre-canned machines, but around here, most ...
I've got Starbound, I'm good thanks...
I'm surprised that this type of concept hasn't been looked at before. Keep in mind that this is a simply a re-visualization of what a PC is, at least in the classic sense - want extra functionality? Slap the module required, be it disk drives of any description, extra expansion ports and cards, replace the processor, whatever.
When looking inside your PC's case that already exists, in the form of the motherboard, with all its slots and plugs. It's scary becau...
the trading of in-game items works well too...
I can attest to the the Duolingo app, my sister-in-law uses it extensively to learn German, and it's a wonderful little title!
Although it is tied into a normal desktop app, You Need a Budget is also an excellent budget and expense tracking application. It is well written, clean and super to use, and ties quite nicely into the desktop app when syncing information...
at that price? pass...
Yay, and it also works on a Galaxy S4! Weeee!
Jamming some games on there shortly!
We'll be putting two of these machines through a benchmark process, with the other machine having Windows 7 on it. Should be an interesting day!
Good spread, now just to troll those games to see if they have Android variants...
The Steambox project looks real snazzy, and I like the way it's being put together. We have a (mostly) running prototype in the office now, but still need to poke a couple of things to get it into running condition...
New genre - check, new platform - check, new resolution (does having a 50" on the desk count?) - check!
Just have to become proficient at something in BF4 and Dota2, and also give up an addicitve game, in my case EVE Online (maybe)... Then i would have already achieved all of the above last year already :)
and going from non-ragequit to RAGE-QUIT!!
Interesting look at the CoD:Ghosts versus GTA5 comparison as far as playtime is concerned. As far as Dota2 is concerned, one also has to remember that while League of Legends is a spiritual successor of the original Dota1, Dota2 has only been in the public eye for a very short time.
While it may skew numbers, an interesting thing would be to see how Warcraft 3 stacked as well, as one can fairly safely assume that it being played would be overwhelmingly be Dota or a variant t...
Looks good, and it is important to remember, that players need to have dedication to the art, sport and grit that is eSports, just like any other profession, be it sport or a "conventional" career.
So many teams flare up on the local scene, and just as quickly as they pop up, they disappear; they need the structure and discipline of practise to keep them going to get to any real position and placing - talent alone will not get them there...
Wasteland is definately something, but im looking forward to whatever fallout is coming up soonish as well, not to mention the new Planescape game...
The esports part is so important, I'm glad that BF4 definately put in the resources for it properly, hopefully Titanfall will take notes from its predecessors...
Titanfall, Star Citizen, and Elite: Dangerous are my favourites for the year thus far! It seems that many people are wanting some spaceship boom boom games again, and if it can be sandboxed, so much the better.
Hopefully those nutters over at Gearbox don't screw up the Homeworld series, but thats probably closer to 2015, rather than 2014...
Interesting to see that the Blackberry platform is still being actively developed for, but then again, it also makes perfect sense, becuase in a lot of ways, Blackberry is still a very viable and well distributed platform. Take into account when people talk about Android versus iOS, that's usually only taking the American market into consideration; the platform and its ecosystem is still very much alive and kicking in other parts of the world, and, according to something i saw on CNN, Bla...
Looks real cool, already set it to install on my Galaxy!
Facelifts are good, luckily you can facelift again and again in a digital world, rather than the limited amount you can do in the real world :)
I stopped playing Tomb Raider a long long time ago, like the second or the third game...
