Warframe begs to differ bro. In fact, the only thing setting Battlefront 2 apart from a f2p game, is the graphical prowess. The whole infrastructure of the game is designed based on f2p/mobile gaming.

What most people fail to understand, is the difference between a great game, and a popular one. PUBG is a lot of fun, but nowhere near polished enough to be considered great on any front. A great game consists of various metrics working together (i.e. design, gameplay, sound, story etc.), which warrants a GOTY nomination.

Wholeheartedly agree dude. EA has become a wall street company, they aren't really a game company anymore, per se.
There a lot of simple minded people out there though. So it's not always about "quality", as much as it's about accessibility and dumb satisfaction when shooting a guy in the face.
From a design perspective, the games are really not that impressive anymore. They could just as well be asset flips from previous entries. It's a checklist game, simple as that.
I imagine Activision having a whiteboard saying: "can't have a duty ...
