" Sony wouldn't need third_party for games like NIOH, NEIR, YAKUZA BLoodborne. . If you're talking strictly in_house, look at the gap between the releases of titles like Uncharted and Horizon. . . What would you be playing without third_parties? "
So your come back is a hypothetical? We don't need to discuss what PS4 would be without 3rd parties, that's the point! PS4 has a lot of 3rd party exclusives and Xbox does not. FACT. N...
@Darth
Selective memory? Did you forget the Indiestation comments riddling comments here when Xbox had exclusives?!
Halo, Gears, Forza, Forza Horizon, deals with Tomb Raider and Dead Rising all say hello! Rince and repeat bi-annually!
Its no where near as portable. I have one and while I enjoy it, its not at a size I can fit in my pocket. Logic suggest its pretty unlikely to sell 130 million in that short a span. No system has sold 100 million in 5 years.
Yeah probably, but, the gap grows even with Xbox being even price, cheaper and many times with games added to pre-existing bundles. When the PS4 hits $200 you can see that growth come exponentially. The gap will be over 3 million by this years end in the U.S. Its insurmountable.
Yeah no top tier Xmen characters.
It's still a mountain to climb. If MS beat PS4 sales by 100, 000 a month it would still take 2 1/2 years to even the score. Its hard to imagine Xbox could win 30 months. The years not done too, it could be 1 million on the year by December.
I don't know about compression so just a question. If the game is more realistic or has more things going on how much would the compression affect the overall size and quality? For example Doom, Skyrim, L.A. Noire, NBA 2K18 etc.
Who knew Polygon were so knowledgable about a extremely broad spectrum of the psyche. I guess they must have medical staff and Pyschologists at their advanced facilities. S/
NHL 18 bundle releases the same day! So two sports bundles launching together.
@Moldy
" I have issues coming from someone who has to tell people every day the XB1X offers no value, that he has a decent PC, and thinks midcycle consoles serve no purpose. So why bother repeating yourself daily in so many XB1X topics other than for attention? "
Are you serious?! Lol. The guy who argues in literally EVERY PS4 article against the PS4 and literally props up Xbox at EVERY turn is arguing about repeating themselves? You are Mr. ...
Still find it funny that people here suggest PC is more expensive to maintain. Lets look at these enthusiast who will buy the X. Most will be part of the ecosystem already.
Original Xbox $500
4 years live. $200
New X. $500
Total. $1200 + taxes
Even without Live thats $1000 + taxes!
And like you suggest PC has more to offer. Steam as you mentioned and it has significant more uses as...
Agreed! Really nice that this game concludes the story too.
You know if Xbox wasn't trying to cultivate something, why the heck were they pushing Super Lucky Tale?! Its Marioesque type looking game. At 500,000- 1 Million like someone here suggested would be pretty decent numbers for this type of game (i.e. Mario Rabbids). It wouldn't hurt to try to broaden their appeal to further grow their market. I would buy these types of games for my Xbox One if they were made.
@Moldy
Bloodborne is a new IP, your logic sucks. Thats like saying Anthem is so similar to Mass Effect its more of a spinoff so its not really a new IP.
As for Sony creating new IPs? Do you have your head in the sand?
Knack
Until Dawn
Bloodborne
Days Gone
Detroit
Dreams
Wild
Horizon Zero Dawn
Death Stranding
The Last Guardian
Gravity Rush
Just going to point out something. If you game on Xbox, owning the original Xbox One was $500, gaming on live the last 4 years at $50 per year is another $200 and if you buy the X to upgrade that's another $500. That's $1200+ before taxes and games invested in Xbox ecosystem. How is that ANY different compared to upgrading your PC? Last I checked $1200 to game with Xbox since the beginning of this generation is NOT a cheaper option necessarily.
Attach rates are a stupid way to look at things. Companies care about unit sales more. By your logic of attach rates Rockstar should be ashamed having 65+ million copies of GTA V sold because lets see 90+ million PS3 users, 90+ million Xbox 360 users, 65+ million PS4 users, 30+ million XB1 users and 1.2 billion PC users. So their attach rate is atrocious. They ONLY sold 65+ million copies to a possible 1.5+ billion possible gamers.
Again no actual sale numbers. Uncharted 4 easily outsells Halo. Plus wtf does attach rate have to do with any thing? Halo 3 sold what 12 million to a fanbase of 90+ million? That's an even worse attach rate than Uncharted 4! Same with 5 million to just under 30 million is barely better! Companies care more about how many units are sold over attach rate.
By your own reasoning EVERY game is terrible due to low attach rate. The top selling COD game did what 20 mil...
" Oh boy, you count freaking everybodys golf, yet forget PUBG, Forza 7, Voodoo Vince, Path of Exile, Conan Exiles, Pit People, Tacoma and Super Lucky's Tale. "
Yeah and you count Voodoo Vince and Lucky Tales is scraping the bottom of the barrel. Halo and Age of Empires? Yeah maybe a generation ago. Uncharted 4 has destroyed literally EVERY single Xbox exclusive this generation. It has sold almost 10 million and Halo 5 did what 5 million?
Niko I wouldn't worry about it. Clearly Wooly is not one for FACTS. Have you noticed every single argument he has made has been some hypothetical that has no basis in reality? Therefore it can't be proved wrong. Classic diversion tactic. Like oh MS clearly has more games in the works?! Uh.... Ok?! So does Nintendo and Sony, who are not sitting on their laurels. Let's get back to reality though. Here are the facts.
The Switch has MORE exclusives in 6 mon...
