Yeah I agree. The exclusives will come. I think most people here think Bandai Namco only does niche games. But if you look into their projects and how much outsourcing they do to other Japanese studios they have over 2000 people working on their games at any given time. I'm pretty happy that my Switch will get exclusives regularly. I hope some of the off shoot Shin Megami games get done for the Switch. Its been so long since we saw a Devil Summoner game. Pretty excited with Bayonet...
Those are good examples of how to do things right for the Switch continued success and if this market wasn't such a vacuum kind of atmosphere I would agree. Except the PS4 has too much of a presence worldwide to be ignored. Notice that a lot of the titles that are being released by Japanese companies are now being released on both the PS4 and the Switch?

I guess on a small sample size. But we already know Japan loves its handhelds so its an advantage. Its also a bit of an anomally though because it wpuld ONLY happen in Japan. This kind of success would not be replicated elsewhere.
Sony does have competition though. From Nintendo. Xbox does not have 30 million sold in the U.S. They struggle to even have over 30 million worldwide.
Would the long list of lies be the games are coming? Cloud compute is a thing? Next E3 will be some big announcements? The new iterative console is going to turn things around? Apparently you Xbox fans will believe anything.
Casuals are who bought the Switch the most and the top 3 games in sales are Zelda, Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart. They can't tell you half of the exclusives because there are too many. Some niche games too, but, a wide range to fit the taste of a wide consumer base.
Weird. My store sold a ton of our Pro systems during Boxing day and Black Friday while my Xbox X systems just sit there unsold. Other than the launch week my stores X sales are tanking. If power mattered as much as you think the X would be destroying the Switch sales.
Also how does anyone know the threshold to be profitable?! You would need to know how much it cost to develop and the cost to publish and advertise.
Fifa on the PS4 worldwide has sold something like 7-8 million copies though. The Switch sales won't come close to that.

Might want to back yourself up with facts then. You're wrong. They had 3 systems fail. N64, Gamecube and Wii U all got destroyed in sales in their respective generations.

The people who don't think exclusives matter just need to look at my stores Switch sales to prove that wrong even if its a small sample size. During boxing day the Switch and Xbox sales were equal. To get those sales though Xbox where I am at is $249.99 whereas the Switch is $399.99. Almost every person who bought a Switch got Mario Odyssey as their purchase too. Huge price difference and paying full price for the Switch and Mario Odyssey over a $250 Xbox with 4 bundled games.

Switch did great and so did PS4. Both had the most sales, exclusives and must have games. Both had record breaking years too. Notice how Xbox isn't part of that conversation or comparable in any way? We can talk about the great portable experience and fantastic year for the Switch and likewise PS4 had an amazing amount of games and VR and heads into an even arguably better 2018.
