Insomniacs is NOT owned by Sony. They are an independent studio that has the luxury of picking up projects where they want.

Yeah because the general population cares what generation they are playing. The only thing that matters currently is Nintendo is stealing mindshare and sales from Xbox regardless of which generation it is. A family that has purchased a Switch which might have been an Xbox otherwise. Nintendo in a year has jumped ahead of Xbox.
Exactly with fantastic games like Mario Odyssey, BotW, Persona 5, Nioh, Nier Automata, Uncharted 4, Uncharted Lost Legacy, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Gravity Rush 2, Ni No Kuni 2, rereleases of Kingdom Hearts, Hellblade and countless other games already out how is the release of a 3rd Tomb Raider game going to bring you back to SP games?! Then yeah add in God Of War, Detroit, Spiderman and a bunch of awesome SP games hitting before Tomb Raider to boot.

Thats exactly it. Just look at the split for FF Type 0 and FF XV and see how for even their most popular brand in N.A. that FF still sold 90% on PS4. Switch ports would sell more. Square also have market analysts to help them drive sales and make smart decisions. Otherwise there are some folks here who just assume its because its Japanese. No its based on sales that Xbox misses so many Square games.

Because Xbox fans wouldn't buy these type of games and Square knows it would just post them a loss. Its not worth it if they won't recoup their costs or actually lose money in the process.

Nah Xbox One might be dead, but, GT is alive and kicking. GT Sport destroys Forza and not just in sales. But hey at least you can get yourself a clown costume and act the part in a loot box.
Quantum Break didn't even do 1/2 million months later so yikes. SoT sales are probably going to be bad overall.

Pretty much spot on account of the last 5 years of Xbox. Its funny that people keep suggesting Switch is 9th gen and doesn't count. Tell that to the Nintendo customers that didn't buy an Xbox and bought a Switch instead. Customers do NOT care what gen the product is. Now Xbox is sandwiched between PS4 and a surging Switch too.
