Xbox 360 heat issues were fixed last summer.
Xbox 360 has an extended, no cost, no hassle warranty for those people who have a problem.
Sony **LOST** a class action suit about the PS2 for its high failure rates, MICROSOFT took care of its customers and A) has fixed the problem and B) takes care of its customers.

Worldwide, the Xbox 360 accounts for more than half of the entire spending for the current gen.
That is PS3 + Wii (all games, consoles -- EVERYTHING) is **LESS** than that spent on Xbox 360.

That Volumetric lighting is what brough dynamic light (and the general feeling of being better-lit (less dark)) overall on the Xbox 360 version.
