Huxley is the game that MAG is ripping-off.

There are many many quality games on Xbox LIVE Community Games. The quality -- and quantity of titles is growing very fast.

As developers get used to the (new) tools, they're only going to get better.

Have a look yourself;

Zune already runs XNA.

There would be *very* little to make Community Games available via Zune and/or a new Zune LIVE Marketplace.

My prediction: MS will have Windows Mobile (6.5? 7?) running XNA games by then.

Both WinMo and Zune will be XNA 3.1 targets. They'll both have Xbox LIVE Anywhere features.

LIVE Marketplace (the current Windows Mobile store) http://client.marketplace.w... will be selling XNA titles to both Zune and Windows Mobile.

The result? An absolute *explosion* in the quality and quan...

So?

So what if MS writes cheques to third parties? How is this different than Sony?

Sony buys studios? Do they do this without "cheques"?

I **PREFER** MS's method. Why? They leave Studios independant, and the studios come to MS -- without obligation -- to propose projects.

Think of Consoles like the Movie Industry. In both, there are three players Platform: Theater/Console; Promotion&Finance: Distributor/Publisher...

"It is common knowledge that the PS3 has tons of untapped potential that nobody has even seen yet"

100% ABSOLUTE FICTION.

That's the point with "common knowledge" it is not knowledge at all.

*HOW CAN I SAY THIS?*

Becaause I listen to experts. Experts liks DAVE SHIPPY. Who is Dave Shppy? He is the LEAD DESIGNER from IBM who delivered both CPUs.

What does he say?

All the Viva Pinata and Banjo games have been TERRIFIC. The trouble is that their audience is still pretty nintendo-loyal.

If they released those titles under the Nin banner, market (and the press) would hail them as groundbreaking.

Doesnt matter to me -- I love those titles, and hope for more Banjo ASAP.

MS isnt forcing anything on its users. Those who dont keep their OS up-to-date are likely to be those who dont know _how_. And they'd welcome the care and _customer service_ from MS to keep up their PC on their behalf.

you guys, just take a second and think here. This is good for USERS and its good for the Internet Devs/Services (reduced fragmentation / better standards).

This imagined "oh, MS is the bad guy" is just childish nonsense. Really, please...

I agree too. W7 is terrific.

Try Powershell, it is great. Have a look at Device Stage (the new device handling interface (cellphones etc))

That is because the **APPLICATIONS** are bad. Not Windows. Windows sends a signal to the App to shut off, if it doesnt respond it doesnt shut down.

WHY????

Because if it **DID** you'd be the first idiot in here screaming about how Windows shutdown and you had forgotten to save your work , and how the "The OS should never evner!1one! shut down if there is unsaved work in an application!!one!!"

This is done for a goddamn reason.

This guy is a fcuking jack ass. As the comment above me states, its not the OS that arent shutting down properly, its the application.

Want to kill a process in Windows -- without fail or question? Use
"taskkill"

And, W7 shutsdown and startsup faster than my Ubuntu install.

This guy is trolling, and the other jackasses above me (Godmars290,
Domenikos) are just trolling too.

Where the fcuk are the moderator...

You're being an idiot. Their are *many* great quality XNA titles. No one doubts this. There are also simple Breakout games with boobies -- who cares?

You dont like choice? Dont like boobies, dont buy it.

However, you're not paying attention if you're not seeing all the talent bubbling up in Xbox LIVE Community Games.

Did you hear that they were showing Huxley at GDC?

Suck it. MMOFPS again, first on Xbox 360. When is that sony copy coming? Sometime after they get a look at Huxley no doubt.

Snore. Alan Wake will ship when it is ready, and it looks terrific.

Masses of haters on N4G are lining up to spread FUD without a single grain of knowledge.

Absolutely ridiculous, you people look like absolute fools.

The only thing that the two titles have in common: Jealousy and fear from non-Xbox owners.

Just buy an Xbox, dont be a hater, be a gamer.

TheIneffableBob "Sounds to me like they're just trying to catch up to Steam, which has had zero-day piracy protection for years and Steam Cloud for months." +2

You know what? it sounds to **ME** that N4G only upvotes comments if they are anti-MS FUD...

Why are "they implement DRM" and "they copy Steam DRM" **BOTH** UPVOTED?

Doubt it. If they get it at the right price, and they cater to those markets, this could work.

If they were public, Id bet a little on their stock.

Oh, it *is* a duplicate. Its another empty rant by delusional children.

"PSN Bandwidth Fee Lets Media Take Another Swipe At The PS3"

"Wahhh wayhhh <tear>. The media is part of the great big anti-PS3 conspiracy!1noe!"

It is the same sorry, cheap excuse for accepting reality. The PS3 has failed, and Sony is inept.
