B) The Xbox 360 install base in EU is larger than PS3.

With PS3 at about 20M install, and Xbox 360 ...
It has been said time and time again -- but the ratios/numbers not specifically released -- that the vast majority of Xbox 360s are the Pro model, followed by a smaller number of Arcade and fewest yet the Elite.
What does this mean? That the __AVERAGE__ price for an Xbox 360 is not $199 but somewhere nearer the full price of the pro.
What does this matter? Frankly, not much. The problems with the PS3 run vastly deeper than just it's price point.

I've had 3 PS2s, and I have more than one friend who've bought PS2 in the last 2 years to replace a dead unit.

If the 3DV tech is coming in the form of Xbox Fluid that will be terrific. The Xbox 360 is going gangbusters, it is clearly burying the other HD competition. MS has shown the market -- anyone who is not a half-wit fanboy -- that they like to keep release-dates and announcements quiet, they release info much more closely to the *actual* release date.
