@1.1 "pretty good figures"

Are you _fracking_ joking? That's fracking HORRIBLE HORRIBLE sales. PS3's flagship title, and it hasnt sold 1M in the USA yet?

If they've sold 675k in the first 12 weeks, in the USA, how many do you think they've sold worldwide? Maybe a little over a million? Maybe?

Game sales plummet after the initial release. There is *zero* chance in heck that the game will reach 2 million lifetime.

Yes, I'm holding off.

I'm hoping MS's "xYz" Handheld comes soon.

Until then, I'll stick with gaming on my Zune 120.

You've got to be joking.

MS has said they will not be talking about Games for Windows at E3 as it is "Console Centric".

What on _EARTH_ do you think APB will be doing there? Going alone, talking about the PC version and basically ruining their Xbox 360 launch?

Write this down: APB on Xbox 360 this year. Simultaneous (or very nearly) releases.

Windows 7 applications will run on Vista.

You people havent a goddamn clue what your fracking talking about.

"Huxley and Age Of Conan are canceled on that platform"

You people _just-dont-get-it_. They dont pour millions into game development and then just dump them FFS.

The quiet around Xbox 360 games is being done on purpose. E3 will provide most of the rest of the 2009 release schedule.

Care to tell us why "we wont be seeing an Xbox 360 version for a while"?

We'll see what is coming soon in about 3 weeks.

(oh, BTW, Huxley says hello too)

The PS2 was horribly unreliable, everyone knows this. PS2 has DRE. PS3 has Yellow Lights of Death (YLOD).

It has simply taken some time for the install base and time-in-market for the PS3's Yellow Lights of Death (YLOD) problem to manifest itself.

PS3's YLOD isnt new or a suprise frankly.

BluRay's sole purpose is to fight piracy.

PS was Sony's vehicle to jump start it.

HD-DVD was a more customer friendly choice, this is why Sony paid it's MPAA partners to kill it; because they could make money on the BR IP and on selling BR players.

It was bad for the customer in every way. Sometimes Sony attemps this kind of crap, and the market says "F-U sony", this time, Sony **USED** you Playstation fans to fight for BR.

I believe you're right. This is going to be a smash hit, totally unexpected and "out of left field" into the market.

This is going to be a "proof of concept" and learning experience for Primetime as a platform.

I keep repeating this, but the casuals are going to be crazy for mass, interactive Television game-shows.

If they can get some of the big-brand shows (Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Price is Right etc) they're going to sell...

The game is LIVE. The commercials also serve to give people a chance to hit the bathroom FFS.

Oh, so Home is free -- but without any advertising eh? Exactly which game company *IS* in this to loose money?

6141d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I dont think comparing with home makes a lot of sense.

Primetime could shape up to be the Interactive TV that the casual gamer has always imagined.

Imagine how many consoles they'll sell to the total non-gamer crowd if they end up with Jeopardy as a Primetime title.

The potential here is massive.

Party chat is totally optional.

This is a totally retarded premise.

If you dont want to Party Chat -- why the frack would you?

6142d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Of course it is. Xbox 360 is extending its console-install lead. The titles are selling very well.

Their isnt any sober observer who thinks that somehow, MS simply FORGOT to line up games for 2009.

E3 is going to shut a lot of mouths.

@9.9 heyheyhey

Final Fantasy is a name-brand now that Sakaguchi-san is gone, people who give awards are aware that FF is nothing but "SE JRPG" -- nothing more, nothing less. FF is __WAY__ past its prime, it is simply not as big a title as you think it is.

Mass Effect is, quiet simply, one of the Best RPG in many many years. It had depth and character beyond almost any RPG, mood, drama terrific action and gameplay mechanics.

"Multiplat games don't push either consoles and certainly don't even try to think of pushing the PS3."

So, there are *STILL* some of you who think the PS3 is "more powerful" than the Xbox 360?

How do you people survive life being victims of marketing?

"PS2 is giving the 360 a run for it's money"

Second and Replacement machines dont sell software. Software is the revenue.

PS2s are selling as a "cheap option" to go with used games.

Unless of course you pay $50 for new, "state of the art" PS2 games (pst: they dont exist).

PS2s being sold as replacement and second machines - even as simple DVD players -- is a non-story.

@ The two people above.

A) Windows Mobile 6 has over 20,000 commercial Applications well established in the marketplace. Not 1000 Fart Apps, but things that Enterprises, professionals -- and yes, great games. All coming to a unified Windows Mobile Marketplace with the the release of WinMo 6.5. Which is due this fall, is currently in beta, I've seen it on a HTC -- and it is seriously good.

B) Zune already runs XNA titles.

C) Zune HD can use WiFi ...

Voice. Over. IP.

Who needs a cellphone when you can use VoIP?

This will *absolutely* change the market, top to bottom. If MS can get some version of their Exchange/Communicator Unified Messaging framework working on this device look out. They'll unsettle the whole Cellphone industry.

I *hope* this happens, I'm fracking tired of being held hostage to the phone networks.
