Are you serious? Are you really serious? You are bashing Bayonetta for selling based on sex and saying Ninja Gaiden, a game that actually made a TV advertisement showing how you can use sixaxis to jiggle breasts, is a great game.

Gun_Senshi was saying Bayonetta was only using sex to sell, a fact that is easily disputable because the only way you would know that is if you have already watched a trailer of the game or played it already. Just like God of War, the most you would ever get from looking at the case is the ESRB warnings.

It might should have been a 360 exclusive, but at the same time that wouldn't be a good idea. A friend of mine just came back from Japan from a study abroad program and he told me that Japan is buying Bayonetta like crazy. Had this been 360 exclusive, the American audience would be the deciding factor in terms of sales. Japanese gamers hardly own any 360s.
Still though, I doubt it sold all that well over there. Though from what I hear they had a massive ad campaign.

I'll be buying this on my 360. Kamiya needs a strong seller or Platinum Games will be bankrupt before it even got started.
I mean seriously, look at his more recent track record. God Hand. Okami. Viewtiful Joe. Madworld. VJ sold ok, but the rest never took off. I want to support a struggling developer.

I was personally rooting for Batman, but I haven't played Uncharted 2 yet. Once I get around to it I'm sure it would be my GOTY, but I can't really root for a game I've never played.
That said, I'm just glad Call of Duty didn't take home the prize. Still can't believe Gametrailers gave it every single major award. It really seemed like Demon's Souls might pocket PS3 GOTY from them, seeing how they gave it best RPG and best New IP.

There are more factors put into a list like this than how good the game is. If one game can spawn millions of new gamers (Wii Sports) or revive a dying franchise and become the highest grossing video game of all time (World of Warcraft) then so be it.
Use your brain and humor me for just a moment. How exactly do you expect Team Ico to keep making games if they don't sell? If this doesn't sell around a million copies, they can't make another game. It does matter to you if you are the only one to buy the game, because if you don't help a game sell you'll never see a sequel.
