*some minor GOW2 and MGS4 spoilers*

You are absolutely right. MGS4's ending is quite inferior to it's predecessor, though MGS4's ending wasn't terrible. I will say that as a whole MGS3 was much better than MGS4, but that's simply because I didn't care for half the unresolved issues in the game being explained by nanomachines.

God of War II's ending was pretty mediocre. After seeing it for the third time, the cliffhanger was a hu...
Err... was SOCOM 4 in this issue? My money would be on that...
This could be PSPGo all over again. An overpriced "upgrade" that people don't really want.
I sincerely hope not, though. We could see some very cool Wii ports or original IPs if this thing takes off. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
Glad I didn't have to pay for mine. Though, I would have sold it given the ability... but selling my Battle.net account means selling off my WoW account and my Warcraft 3 copies. Don't really want to part with either.
Mass Effect 2 is the superior game, but FFXIII isn't that bad. I'm enjoying watching it so far - my brother got first pick this time.
The Particle Beam is a quite a bit more practical than the mini-nuke launcher... especially when you play Engineer and you don't have many options beyond Pistols and SMGs (Though the Assault Rifle training I got mid-game was useful).
I'll wait until I've played the game to decide whether I want an epilogue or not.
Then again, if they decided that the epilogue needed to be cut, it was probably for the best.

"Once you see a cutscene, any doubt is instantly erased: The PS3 version is by far the better-looking rendition of FFXIII."
"What does bother me is that what appear to be in-engine cutscenes on PS3 are streamed as video on 360, and they look (and sound) pretty bad. There are all kinds of compression artifacts, and the audio sounds hollow. " <...
Glad to hear it. Arkham Asylum does have room to improve, even if the original was masterful. I don't think it'll have the same problem as Bioshock 2 did: everyone knew it would be inferior and it didn't escape that. AA2 can surpass the original.
It really doesn't bother me at all, I buy Valve's games on other consoles, from two copies of Orange Box (360 & PC) to both Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2. I've also used Steam quite a bit, as it's a useful service. I just know that this a hot topic around here and thought I would get my fill. I guess it serves me right - the one time I bash Valve I get an earful for it, but no one else does. Typical.
So PS3 is too hard, but Mac is just fine? Whatever you say Valve...
Anyway, I'm happy for Mac owners. If everything on PC Steam transfers over then a lot of new games are now open for Mac owners.
I think I would prefer a Metal Gear Compilation with MGS4 graphics before anything else... but I'd take a Ratchet compilation.
If only it was permanent...
I smell a lot of bullying going on here. Chances are that the reason MW2 has so many glitches and felt so rushed is because Activision wanted it's cashcow to be out by the holidays.
It really wouldn't be hard to make a co-op God of War. But like Bioshock, this isn't a game that is meant to be experienced with a buddy. It's about the immersion, the feeling that you are really this strong and this is your story alone.
But at the same time, a co-op arena seems perfect for the game. It doesn't necessarily have to be Kratos in the arena. You could play as a Spartan, but they could work the story so that you have similar weapons to Kratos. Or they could pull ...
I'm betting that the 1,000 hit combo will be a LOT easier than it sounds. God of War Collection's 500 hit combo was cake with Cronos's lightning orbs.
My guess is that Cataclysm will release first. Or, at least, it would be smarter to do it that way.
I'm not sure if Blizzard knows it, but there are more WoW players that will quit for Starcraft 2 than there are Starcraft 2 players that will quit for Cataclysm. As such, releasing Cata first will allow it to see some very nice early sales as people wait on SC2.
I might be getting all 3, having a bonus reward for doing so just makes the purchase a bit sweeter.
For those wondering why they are only offering 400 points, were they to offer 800 you would essentially be getting Perfect Dark for free.
Both of those released in 1998. I know you're butthurt that not enough Playstation series got in the list, but please, get over it.
The only games in those series that were influential were the originals. Period.
GDC also gave Scribblenauts Handheld of the Year. Their opinion doesn't matter to me at all after that.
